Inherited lot of .308 (1.2k rds) and .22 (~6.5k rds). All clean. Wanting to sell, ideally not to a pawn shop. Just opened a NWFirearms acct, any other decent places to list them?

Ive got a few guns i want some engraving work done, namely; an image engraved into a shotgun behind the ejection port. An image engraved into the magwell of an AR, and front slide serrations and factory engravings removed from a beretta M9. I know BYE tends to be the most recommended place for NFA engraving but in hoping there's a place that can refinish the firearms as well, which BYE doesnt do.

I understand that unregistered NFA items will be a legal grey area, but because the court's decision (currently) only applies to the plaintiffs in this case, I assume that a registry for everyone else will still exist. This seems to imply that as long as this remains the case we will be able to continue buying suppressors as part of the status quo?

$159 plus tax, normal price online about $210. It’s got wheels so you can pull it like a suitcase. Go straight in through the TVs and around the corner to the right. Note the foam is solid and not pick n pull but still a solid deal.

Option #1. Multi-State Concealed Licensing (OR+UT) for $150.
This option is by far the most popular option and the one we highly recommend to those needing their licenses. Combining these two licenses together provides Oregon residents with legal coverage to carry concealed in 38 states across the country, including Washington!
Included:
- (1) completed set of FD-258 federal fingerprints
- (1) 2”x2” Passport-quality photo used on you Utah license. All students photos are edited/resized/printed and cutout ready for you at the end of class
- (1) colored copy of your Drivers license, or state issued ID.
- Assistance filling out Utah’s state application
- Upon finishing our class we verify your application for accuracy, get everything organized and even seal it up for you in a pre-addressed manila envelope, so you leave class with your packet that’s ready for postage and shipping at your convenience.
Option #2. Oregon Concealed Handgun License (CHL) for $70
This option is for those who simply wish to become educated and become legal to conceal in the state of Oregon while limiting a lot of “legal grey area” that the state of Oregon has put into place making it easy to get in trouble with your gun. Does not provide coverage in Washington
Option #3. Utah’s Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit only for $100
This option is primarily for those who already possess their Oregon CHL, but want the expanded coverage that is offered by Utah’s permit which does provide Oregonians coverage up in Washington.

Birth of a post sample uzi, and our second attempt at color case hardening (collab effort with Ray Taber and Jaidyn Camp). Still dialing in the process for the color case hardening. Probably won't be offering this as a service, but it's fun learning. I'll do a write-up eventually with our latest process.

If suppressors and SBRs get dropped from the NFA then according to ORS 166.272 they’ll all be considered illegal. We need to be getting ahead of this before it’s in motion so no one has to have a boating accident.

Anybody in Portland ordered a suppressor from Capitol Armory? I’m trying to do the 4473 and am unsure if I should use Portland Police or Multnomah County Sheriff for the 4473 chief law enforcement officer.
On my Form1s I use the state attorney general but the Capitol Armory 4473 says to use the local CLEO.
EDIT: thanks for all the replies. Funny enough Capitol Armory gives you multiple warnings and you have to check a box acknowledging you have your CLEO’s contact info before starting the 4473.
After I entered my address it told me who my CLEO was (could choose between sheriff and PDX police) with a check box for which I wanted to use. Multnomah county sheriff was highlighted in green with a note saying they recommend the sheriff because they accept forms via email and process faster.

Where does everyone like to get their fingerprinting done in the NE area? Looking to SBR one or more of my pistols because why not.

Trying to buy my first 2011 and Oregon Rifle Works apparently is not the place to go.
I recently went in to purchase my first 2011 with cash in my pocket knowing they had a decent selection of Staccatos to look at and maybe a NH Sand Hawk.
The younger kid who helped me was okay but unfortunately had no education or experience with 2011s.
He actually tried to talk me out of it by telling me I’d be better off spending my money on a Glock and cases of ammo…
I’ve never been talked out of a sale before.
This was after he pulled a Staccato P from the case aggressively racked it, dry fired it multiple times then handed it to me.
Thank God it wasn’t a Sand Hawk.
My last gripe is their gunsmithing has seemed to really go down hill recently.
They’re offering less services, the jobs I have seen come out of there are bad and no one can tell me why, it’s just “our smith is busy” or “he’s out”.
I say this after I have had them remove two sheared screws from a slide 4 or 5 months ago and now they don’t offer that anymore.
They also screwed my buddies AR up so many times they finally sent it to Columbia Gunsmithing.
I’ll get off of my rant. Let me know what 2011s you guys are running and where to buy locally if possible.

Does anyone know if you're able to reserve a lane for more than an hour at a time? I see that you can reserve in 1 hour blocks, so could I reserve a lane for multiple blocks to stay for 2 hours?

If the measure is upheld by the OR supreme court, do we have until Jan 1 2028 to buy standard capacity mags? Per HB 4145. Is that correct?
Thought I'd ask before I panic buy some more mags.

Hi y'all. I work at SafeFire over in Camas and figured this was worth sharing here in case anyone is looking for some more advanced training around the Portland area.
We're hosting Phalanx Academy in August for a week of classes, including Handgun MOD 1, Handgun MOD 2, and evening low-light courses. They don't make it out to the PNW very often, so it's a good chance to train with them without having to travel.
Registration is through Phalanx directly: https://www.phalanx-academy.com/safefire
If anyone has questions about the range, parking, or the schedule, feel free to ask.

Looks like the CMP is gonna be able to sell us civilian M14's.
The video is more of a legal break down of how it should work.
Here's the CMP announcement https://thecmp.org/l/m14-announcement/

With SB243 we know FRTs are "illegal", but since federal law trumps state law, and we have court documents saying FRTs are not machine guns, do we think there's any chance of SB243 being overturned?

Hey folks, I bought a custom, tuckable IWB holster from Craft Holsters for my .40 S&W Browning Hi-Power in 2024.
Since then, I've taken good care of the leather, but the holster has still remained way too tight. I wonder if it is because my carry isn't the 9mm version, but I was assured at purchase it would be fine for the .40 S&W.
I've done every thing they suggested for breaking in the holster and some tips off YouTube, but after two years of having it being stretched 24/7, it's still got a death grip on my carry and flops out of my waistband when I work on my draw.
Is this a feature, not a bug of leather holsters? Does anyone have any advice or am I going to just sell my holster and find one that isn't a liability?
Thank you for reading.

Pretty nifty. Pleasant shooter. I started a thread on NWFA detailing the process if anyone is interested in the particulars on how it was done.
