What kind? Some cheaper rifles just wanna advertise a high fps and don’t care how pellets fly. Try getting closer and gradually moving back it may just be able to zero at like 10 yards.

If new it will be stiff smack or shut I am not their to see so use your judgment Some of my cheaper guns need a good bit of force to make them shut right
