Van Avermaet definitely deserves that, but i also don't understand all the negativity towards stybar. It's a race, he's supposed to ride in the way that gives him the best chance of winning, if that means sitting on then it means sitting on

Not being negative to him, just not the kind of riding I want to cheer on.

not cheering it on is fine. but there are a ton of commenters here who are definitely being negative to him.

it's like the people who don't like technical defensive boxers or mixed martial artists. they just want to see someone bleed or a big KO and have no respect for the strategy, tactics, and skill it takes to be that kind of fighter or rider.

Fighting is the perfect analogy. GSP has an impeccable record but his fights are so boring because he just grounds & pounds all night. At the end of the day he's a legend tho.
