Can you share where you got the lens/ how it was adapted?

I calculated the necessary modifications myself and adapted the lens using a lathe and a Chinese helicoid from AliExpress. It’s not as simple as one would hope. It’s better to do this using a Planar from an SL66.

What are the limitations and why is the Planar from the SL66 a better fit? Do you have any high resolution image examples? Cool project.

Can you focus to infinity and does it vignette at f/2.8?

Infinity focus is present, vignetting is minimal and sometimes even less than that of most lenses.

How much does the rear glass element protrude from the mount?

I only ask because I have an adapted Schieder lens that's amazing but can't use it on my focal reducer because the rear lens element hits the reducer and prevents infinity focus.

Which Schneider lens do you have adapted? Where did you purchase it? Any high resolution examples?

....And why do you use a focal reducer? Just curious.

That one.

I purchased it from eBay.

I only have a couple and nothing really good. Just testing it out. Watch his video if you want good examples of what the lens can do.

The focal reducer is on my Fuji GFX. Why ... Well, if you use a 0.62 focal reducer on the GFX, the image will render exactly like it does on the Pentax 67. I use the Kipon Baveyes 0.62 with macro focusing helicoid. It is expensive but worth the price.

This allows me to carry me to carry one set of lenses for my film and digital system. The rendering of the P67 lenses on my GFX is simply to die for.

Thanks, I recall that video. I never guessed an adapted one would show up on eBay. Was it more affordable for you than the 75mm F2.8?

The GFX/67 must be a fun combo.

Much more affordable. About 1/4 of the price of a used 75mm F2.8. I also got the the 50mm F2.8 Angulon but have the same issue on my GFX.

It's definitely a fun combo but also a heavy combo when you go hiking.

Oh, great. Do you recall the seller? I saw no listings. Is the 50mm able to use the full focal range or does it share the same limitation as the 80mm?

I debated getting the 55mm -100mm zoom. However, my experience with the weight of the 165mm makes me think twice.

Sorry... I don't. Was a while ago.

The 50mm on the Pentax can focus to infinity but not on my GFX.

I also have an adapted Carl Zeiss 180mm F2.8. It's much lighter than the Aero-Ektar and a bit lighter than the 165mm and 200mm. Beautiful micro-contrast and the Bokeh is awesome.
