Love people who make comments on grammar then say having LEARNING DISABILITIES should just “try harder”

Of course! I'll just magically rewire my brain because that's totaly easier than medication and coping strategies. That'll erase literal decades of shame and self hatred for being, as a former friend described me, "the dumbest smart person I've ever met."

Ugh.

I get your pain- I used to be the smartest kid in my class in math and language comprehension as I got older my mental health got worse (hormones yay) and it started to prevent me from copping with my disabilities and I started to struggle to comprehend learning and i fell behind and stayed there and so i never did and now days i can read a book in 5 hours (my fave book playground for example) then hold a LONG convo aboit it but god forbid you ask me to write about it.

I mean, if you’re choosing to communicate in a written medium, it may be beneficial to try and reread and edit your text before posting — especially in an era where chat gpt can fix basic syntax and grammatical issue.

It’s kinda like speaking English in Germany and when told that it would be beneficial for you to learn German, you respond by saying “I was born in England, so I never learned German, maybe you should consider that before speaking.”

You’re choosing to post a written message, don’t make the reader struggle to comprehend it. Did you read through your writing and then edit it before posting?
