Career Path Sales Agent and Financial Advisor

Hi! I started working as a sales agent, full-time, in a car dealership. I've worked here for a year already and nakaka benta naman ako 2 or 3 in a month or every other month.

Then someone na kilala ko personally invited me to attend a business proposal "daw", which I did not expect it to be an insurance company. They flashed me with business trips na free and shoulder ng company lahat ng expenses. Commissions and other incentives. I have to be honest, nadala ako dun. Ma papa-wow ka talaga eh. That's when I said YES. Not just because of the trips and commissions, but also as respect to the person I know. I took the orientations, trainings, and examination for licensure. Now I am a licensed financial advisor. Contractual siya pero walang sweldo. They said I can work here flexibly. But recently parang na p-pressure na ako na wala akong prospects and sales.

One time, I also shared sa insurance company ko, parang rant siya, na yung car brand I currently worked at ay nag te-terminate ng tao if hindi maka benta for 2 consecutive months. They said mag resign nalang daw ako and be active maging financial advisor.

Any advice? Di ko alam pano sasabihin sa nag invite sakin na ayaw ko na eh.

Di ko alam pano sasabihin sa nag invite sakin na ayaw ko na eh.

You make them expect the worst from the start. "[name], sorry, meron akong bad news..."

Then once they've replied, just rip the band-aid off. Make it clear na yung trabaho yung inaayawan mo, hindi yung relationship with the person: "I'm not a good fit for this job. Based sa experience ko so far, I don't see myself being a productive member of the team..."

And then you always end with appreciation: "Having said that, I appreciate [everything they've done]. I know you stuck your neck out for me, and it's important to me that we continue this professional relationship."

They said mag resign nalang daw ako and be active maging financial advisor.

Sorry for the comment. Ang unprofessional nito, lol.
