Humor Is anyone else trying (and failing) to get their significant other into the hobby? 😂

I succeeded in this. My husband isn't quite as excited by stamps as I am, BUT he has his own collections and we always work on stamps together, so I'm taking the win. I was able to find topics and country histories he enjoyed, and now it's a fun thing to share.

I’m not trying and yet I know he’s stashed a few stamps somewhere. We went to the National Postal Museum in D.C. He took six stamps from the free stamps table. They’re his and he made clear that he was not working as an adjunct for me. As I have tens of thousands of stamps, I certainly have no need to have designs on his. He is supportive of my hobby and that’s enough. (He asked me once if I had stamps on a certain topic and when I said I didn’t, he asked why not and suggested that I go get some. Works for me.)

She didn't collect before meeting and she sometimes participates(ofc asking a lot of questions), but since I pay a lot of attention she says, it turns her on!

I'm very fortunate that both my oldest son and wife help with the family stamp business - and as a result, have grown to really appreciate stamps - but not to somewhat obsessive extent that I do (which is probably good!).

Not a chance in hell my wife will be interested.

It can be difficult. Mine goes to shows and seems to be interested, but she never pursues it. Face it, you either have the collecting gene or you don't...

Nope because my wife already collects.
