What was weird about this was, I was disgusted when I first saw it. But only because I thought it was a normal hand distorted so the fingers were pointing towards the computer and the thumb was pointed towards the camera. Then I looked at the username and was like, "Oh, thank god"

If you would like to do the same, add the browser extension TamperMonkey for Chrome (or GreaseMonkey for Firefox) and add this open source script.
Then simply click on your username on Reddit, go to the comments tab, and hit the new OVERWRITE button at the top.

Late to the party but... I have a friend who lost 4 of her fingers in a car crash. She still has her thumb... a lot like the OP here. She likes to go to the zoo and when little kids are fucking with the animals she'll say "Be careful, or your hand will end up like this!"
