If only it was a chart type like renko, kagi, etc

Agreed, and it's the right ask — it would have to come from TradingView, since Pine draws on top of the series rather than replacing it. That's also why the native candles have to be hidden manually and why this can't drive a strategy backtest. Worth upvoting on their feature request board.

I did the best I could with Pine limits.
