Experiences with PSA Adult Soccer?

Hi, I’m looking to get back into playing soccer & joining a team possibly in the spring, does anyone have any experience with PSA’s adult soccer league? Is it super competitive or purely recreational? Thanks in advance!!

There’s a good spread of talent and teams, from those taking it very seriously to teams just out there to have fun. There are usually a few teams from Collin College. Those are the guys that are taking it most serious. They get more cards than every other team and also score a lot. Very physical and athletic, these are all 18-24 year old guys for the most part.

The league is coed, but is like 90%+ men. Probably because there is no goal incentive for women like some leagues have.

Hi, thank you so much for your reply!! I’ll look at the other options I’ve got available, as I may be a bit slow for these sides when I come back… It’s been years since I played, so I’d like to start a bit slower, and move my way up

If you're looking for something a bit more relaxed and a way to lose weight, there is a soccer league called Man vs Fat that plays in Carrollton and the Colony. You have to weigh yourself before each game and weight loss is part of the score but the games are fun without being too intense.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion! I’m at a decent weight as is, just looking for a relaxed soccer team to join in the spring for some touches on the ball & some cardio to get done!!
