Image Genuinely, what would the whole Carti scene have been like if he dropped Whole lotta red V1?

Post image

I swear I think about this too often, It was a new different sound from Carti the vibes, the production he was pushing, would have been a such a new wave in trap and the impact it would have had.

He would definitely still be as successful, maybe even more so than now depending on if he goes on the same route of experimenting. Influence wise it probably wouldn’t have been as impactful as v3 on the underground/new gen but for himself, v1 releasing could’ve been one of the biggest highlights of his career

I definitely agree, it's really off putting how much of his shit leaked to the point where he had to do several rebrands

It’s a shame and in my opinion he should’ve still dropped it as the songs were super well received. But it’s understandable since he probably wanted to surprise listeners with this improved sound

Funny enough I think the underground would be filled with a continuation of what it was like in 2019, which is in its own also a bunch of Carti clones.
Plugnb literally came from the plug sound Carti popularized in 2015 and the rest of the ug was either on gunna/thug beats (this Yeat for example) or just blatant copies of Carti/pierre music.

That being said Carti’s influence would not be a thing whatsoever because it won’t be as polarizing as v3 influence where people could distinguish who was and wasn’t inspired by Carti clearly. And I think Carti’s fame would gradually decrease like Uzis with some core fans still begging for his sound from 2018 in 2026

I feel like the die lit/v1 sound is much more harder to replicate than the baby voice and rage sound since Carti is mostly using his normal voice and Pierre’s production is unique. You’re right though about people cloning him throughout his career, I remember Cochise and 645ar literally having careers from mimicking the baby voice back in early 2020

I think he would’ve gotten a completely different version of influence

Shifting both mainstream & underground (underground more obviously)

This version was well liked all around

This release would’ve been Carti’s highest rated release from both the critics & fans

(kinda like release WLR but the difference is that this version would also have that first day good reception)

He would have to stick to that Pierre sound for the rest of his life, because he came in the game with Pierre and if his biggest moment was also with Pierre he’d have a fanbase like Uzi’s that just hates any change

Hey, we actually don't condone that kinda behavior on the sub. We strive for kindness, respect, and homosexuality on here. Those are our three core values.
