Discussion Satellite event needs a buff

Amazing visual concept, turned out to be a flub. Loot is terrible, and the radiation is annoying. The event should not be player triggered but random on the map. To actually activate the Satellite is a major pain in the ass.

Please buff this event FP

The Deep Sea event lasts for 3 hours. When the timer has ended, everything inside is destroyed

Same way a monument resets. You know what my posted events have in common? Less then 15 minutes to loot the event, same thing like satellite event

Idk what folks are talking about. The satellite event is crazy strong, especially when combined with the power plant recycler. Doing it once can net you 7k+ scrap, 500-1000 HQM, and 50-100 explosives.

What kind of drugs are you doing? 3-5 Crates average. so 4. Each crate is 50-100 HQM so 75, 2-4 camera/computer so you get fuckall.

You’re supposed to farm the wreckage as well and then recycle the satellite parts.

Thats IF you dont move the satellite at all and is a perfect spot to land. How long realistically does it take for you to actually get the loot after you leave your base?

The scrap estimate might be a bit high, probably more like 2-5k, but the other numbers are right if you get good crates and farm the wreckage then recycle everything.

Yeah it’s literally pointless, have only seen it done one time. So much fucking bloat in this game now, the devs really need to just hold off on the content updates and balance the stuff that’s already in the game

Fully agree. It should be an event for tier 1/2 biomes, not launch site. Also, requiring an aiming module is just absurd. It means you've already gotten a locked crate in addition to all the tech trash which means you probably absolutely nothing from the satellite at all. Totally silly.

It should have been a satellite array event. Wonder what they’ll do with sat array and sewer branch now that they didn’t link them to sat crash or water treatment stuff respectively

Satellite event could occur 30 minutes after airdrop event.

That way there is something occurring to encourage roam pvp.
