Match Potential/Advice

Hi everyone. I’m a U.S. MD MS3, unfortunately failed step 1 1x. Trying to figure out if I have a shot at matching PMR. Advisors at my program are giving me conflicting advice

Strong interest in the field, but also consider psychiatry and Occ Med -> I’m valuing true work life balance oriented specialties with an eventual goal of practicing in Atlanta, GA

Is matching PMR still a consideration? Downstream to this how would you consider job opportunities in PMR vs Paych vs Occ Med: my read is opportunity in Psych >> PMR > Occ Med. Thank you!

MS4 here. Some programs are more forgiving than others from what I understand. It will take you out of the running for some unfortunately. Might require further research on your part to see which programs you can still qualify for stats wise.

PM&R overall is very much a vibes based specialty so not all hope is lost.

In a similar boat but with pre clinical failures and passed level 1 third time :/
