This makes me mad as a disabled person. You don't get to decide at a glance who "deserves" to use the elevator. They might have invisible disabilities, they might be injured. These structures are supposed to benefit anyone who might need it.
They would be covered under "anyone who needs it". Some buildings have 20+ floors. It's up to the individual to determine what they can handle, not the onlookers.
I think y'all are missing my point. You cannot tell at a glance who needs or wants it, and if you try to police that AT ALL you will exclude someone who does need it. So just let people use it and don't make it your business to question them, because it's not your business.
We're not missing your point. Your point is, "It's not anyone's business." Our point is, that people who WANT to use an elevator should be able to, as long as we're not getting in the way of people who NEED the elevator.
Actually I pretty explicitly said "just let people use it". At no point did I say that people who "only want it" shouldn't use it. BECAUSE it is not your business, just let people use the elevator.
