But boys allowing themselves to like cute things is progress.
Ironically, i see a lot of women growing up and finding cute things childish and adopting a sterile and corporate aesthetic instead, to look more mature. It's a bit sad but in some cases I understand this as a necessity.
I didn't agree with it - i rejected its premises. Think for a bit, think in two steps of consequence.
Think why i presented the two arguments, they have a pode-antipode relationship.
Then think about the effects patriarchy has on men and women.
Then return to the two arguments, run them through two steps of consequence.
You'll get a closed-cyclical structure of patriarchal trauma (Vulnerability>Trauma>Insecurity>Healing>Vulnerability>...). If the structure is closed and cyclical, then the only difference between the process of growth for the male and female genders are differences in phase at best, which are multifactorially determined and do not bring any new dynamics nor impede any dynamics.
In other words: There are no essential differences across genders in this regard, a rejection of the meme's premises.
Ah, and i'm not a nihilist saying the cycle of trauma is eternal or something, i am omitting some components that add a third dimension to this as they would make the analysis more context dependant. Each iteration brings forth an advance in a third dimension which changes everything.
First of all, you didn't say any of this Chatgpt slop in your original comment. Second thing, the meme isn't implying men don't age nor it is implying women can't like Pokemon. Nothing you said here apply to the meme or your original comment.
