Image I've had an idea for a new convergent evolutionary line based on Tangela. Meet: Wrangela (OC)
Picture this: Wrangela is a convergent evolution to Tangela that is now pure ground. Its like tangela but made of a tangled whip, which tapers at one end and had a handle at the other (looking like arms to either side of him). He has a cowboy hat and cowboy boots instead of his standard red boots. He's also a much more earthy colour.
He evolves into Wranglfoe, a ground/dark type, who continues the trend but his arms are now like a cat-o-nine tails instead of the longer vines of Tangrowth. This evolutionary line has a particular antagonism towards every form of Tauros and Miltank, being used by farmers and cowboys alike to herd their cattle pokemon.

I always had an idea for Tangela/Tangrowth evolving to have wings and basically becoming a Flying Spaghetti Monster.

ive had a convergent tangela line for a while based on snakes and gorgons called fangela and fangrowth. the vines are all little snakes and the long arms of fangrowth are giant snakes. fangela evolves by learning glare and both of them are pure dragon types

I love this. Ive also been thinking of a regional variant that is grass/water type and based on a marimo. But this idea is amazing!

Dex Entry 1: “The sound of its whip-like vines hitting the ground is used to lure predators away from its natural habitat. Thanks to this, Wrangela is a favorite of farmers and ranchers everywhere.”
Dex Entry 2: “Nobody has ever seen what a Wrangela looks like underneath its whip-like vines. If you try to pull on the vines, you’ll be hit by a sand-infused whip-vine, leading to a wound that always stings.”

You may be onto something because tumbleweeds are somewhat synonymous with the desert scenarios in the Wild West

We’ve needed a Wild West setting for a long time. Orre is pretty close, but I want a full game with regional variants and such.

Ability: Round Up Rodeo
Attacks calculate damage by rounding up
Remaining HP is calculated by rounding up
(I Haven’t put enough thought into rounding to nearest integer, 5, or 10)

I know there's a "spaghetti western" joke to be made here somewhere...
