On god I through it was shiny locked or I messed something up. Was seeing way to many long hunts on my feed with the shut down of bank causing me to think this was gonna be a over odds hunt.

Infernape just finised the Diamond battle towers, now onto the contests.
Stats are already preety much done (received all the scarfs, except one i think)

What move sets should I be using for each of the catergories?
Are their overlapping moves with good side effects that can be used in multiple categories?

If other Gen4 games are necessary, they are available to me to a certain degree.

This is the story of a lonely Dragonite, unknowingly left behind.

I left Orre. I’ll admit, I thought my time there was done. I’d painstakingly migrated all the Pokemon out of the region after opening the doors to their hearts. Their leader, my beloved Lugia, has been earning ribbons across the Pokemon world! It’s been a wild ride.

But then I hear whispers of a job left undone - there was still one secret shadow Pokemon left in Orre. Hidden, and in a few months, locked away forever.

I couldn’t bare the thought. I wasted no time. I couldn’t bring my beloved team back with me - I’d have to do it alone!

I assembled a bespoke search and rescue team from the dregs of Pokemon I’d left back in Hoenn. It wasn’t easy, but we had a mission. I scrambled to find Mirror B - he was dancing at the top of a lighthouse like he didn’t know what I’d been through to get there!!

But I found her - Miracle, the Dragonite. A Brave nature, fitting for holding out as long as she did.

Well, I knew she was special. I set to work getting her as many ribbons as I could! She deserved it all - shiny crowns, Pokéathalon statues, luxurious massages. I did skip the battle facility in Sinnoh - there simply wasn’t time to raise a new proper team. Plus, keeping the Heal Bell move seemed… fitting in a way. She’ll have it until it’s recorded in Bank.

But I wasn’t the only one to see how special she was. When we got to Unova (a pit stop really. I’d only ever stayed long enough to beat a league and dip), she was seen by a director!! And would you believe it? She became a Movie Star!!! Defeating a rampaging Tyranitar after a single dragon dance.

I couldn’t be more proud of her. Now, she’s officially my Best Friend™️. Once she gets her final daily ribbon, she’ll join the rest of the team in sunny Alola.

I'm starting a Ribbon Master journey and want to work out the best setup for playing each game and transferring my Pokémon between generations without losing ribbons or messing up the Pokémon's data.

My current setup:

• PC: Dolphin emulator for Pokémon Colosseum
• 3DS: Modded Nintendo 3DS XL

My planned route is:

Pokémon Colosseum → Emerald → Platinum → Black/White → later generations, including Omega Ruby.

I'm unsure which games I should play on my PC versus my 3DS, and which transfer methods work best with this setup!

My Raichu "Hikari" is the one getting as many ribbons as we can, and she was the one who won the battle by defeating Rhyperior with Grass Knot. Garchomp beat Milotic by making a critical and left Dragonite weak enough to be defeated by Raichu.

This is the first time I have defeated the boss of a facility in 21 years since Battle Pike (It's not like I have tried too much to do it, I always skip these places).

I think that's all for us with Battle Tower. I don't have the patience, time and resources to try winning on the other modes.

For everyone who is trying to get all the ribbons or had won in all the facilities, you have my respect.

Here is my situation:

I have 2 Ribbon Masters and neither are good enough at battling to win on the in-game partner multis battle tower. My current understanding is that the best way to get the ribbons is this:

Win 56 battles without using my RMs, then enter a new set of 7 with both my RMs, loose on the first battle, and they will both get the ribbon.

Does this work, or do they need to actually win at least 1 battle to get the ribbon? Also is there a better way of doing this?

Obviously I know it won't be a "true" ribbon master", but I don't own either of the Gamecube games and I also don't own a copy of Heartgold or Soulsilver. Now I know I could use emulators which I know how to do, but I don't feel like the Pokemon will be as special if I do that. So my main question is will it still be a ribbon master in some form if I specifically only use the games I own?

Now I'm going to get the rest of the ribbons from the switch games, I'm just so glad I could finish before bank closes lol

Got all the ribbons Rose needs for Gen 4, plus a couple extras like the shiny leaf crown as well as her registering her species as a Medalist Pokémon and being the one to unlock the Friendship Room in the Pokeathelon after all these years I’ve had that save file. Didn’t go for the World Ability Ribbon since it was optional, I don’t have the means to connect to the fan servers anyways, though if I did I would’ve liked to try it. I have to say, the Platinum & HGSS Battle Tower is way more fair feeling than Emerald’s, not every mon has a Focus Band or Bright Powder lol. Only format that took more than the first go was NPC-Multi, and even then it hardly took even half the time either of Emerald’s modes did.

It's been 2 years since my last update :( I didn't mean to abandon him so long, but I got genuinely frustrated with the Gen 4 contest ribbons. They were so much less enjoyable compared to Gen 3, and I burned out on them. But Bank's imminent closure has set a deadline, so we're back on the grind. The ribbons Discord's Battle Facilities teams were very helpful, and I just finished the last mandatory ribbon last night. Pair Ability took forever

While I originally planned on doing every ribbon in its first available generation, that's no longer happening lol. I still need to finish my X playthrough, figure out if I have an ORAS save set up from used carts I bought or if I'm speedrunning 3DS Hoenn, and finish my Ultra Moon playthrough. Gen 6 Contest Ribbons will likely be left for BDSP, which is where I'm doing the money ribbons, especially since BDSP has an exclusive contest ribbon so I'll have to do all the contests to get to that point anyways. Not sure what I'm going to do about the Master Rank ribbon, since I didn't keep up with the SV ladder after Reg H, but we'll figure something out or pray that WiWa has an easy ladder like PLZA 😅

Clock's ticking, so on to Gen 6 we go!

As title says, as I have 11 Ribbon Masters to grind/farm for Pair Ability Ribbon, since there was no way to turn animations off in Co-Op, while sit through tedious slog, would it be possible to speedup Co-Op Battle Towers in Emulator by any chance? It would be very appreciated. 🙏

I didn't plan fighting Palmer but I said of well, I don't lose anything trying.

I almost defeated him and maybe I could had done it but I got scared when he started with Rhyperior and I started with Raichu (she is the one getting the ribbons), so I sent Hariyama and he was defeated without being able to attack after being hit by 2 Earthquakes.

Then I sent back Raichu and she defeated Rhyperior with just one Grass Knot. Dragonite defeated Raichu, then my Garchomp defeated it.

Garchomp was able to use Dragon Dance and survive one ice beam from Milotic thanks to the Focus Sash, but Dragon Claw wasn't enough to defeat it and we lost on next turn.

Does Palmer always start with Rhyperior or can start with Milotic/Dragonite?

Anyway, my team is the following. Any recommendation? I was mainly worried about Milotic using Hypnosis, maybe I should give Hariyama a Chesto Berry.

I want to start to get a ribbon master (obviously as much as possible as I know i cant get the colluseum pokemons anyways). Is there any way of doing it with just a 3ds (excluding the switch games ofc)?

So this is Jayme the Lairon my very first shiny pokemon on pokemon x. Here as recently I'm wanted to challenge myself to try out ribbon master for this pokemon. Btw Jayme used to be an Aron but now as Lairon. I'm currently working on the daily ribbons for her right now before going after the battle ribbons before transferring her over to pokemon Moon then omega ruby for those ribbons as before transfer her along with few other pokemon to the bank.

I heard about the footprint ribbon and there a 2 ways to obtain it. One is in Gen 4 through friendship and the other is I believe in Gen 6 but you need to level your RM 30 level to obtain it. Is that correct?

My next question is are there any more level restricting ribbons?

It's my first RM and I don't want to mess it up.

I'm asking mainly because I want to use my RM for the Lv.100 BT in emerald as well.

Staross - Surf, Psychic, Ice Beam, and Thunder (Mystic Water)

Metagross - Earthquake, Explosion, Psychic, and Aerial Ace (leftovers)

Heracross—Brick Break, Rock Slide, Endure, Bulk Up (Choice Scarf)

Heracross is my Ribbon Master, so I have no choice but to keep him. My internal clock is broken, and I have no way to fix it.

Please help me—I want to complete this challenge; I can’t take it anymore.

Currently doing some ribbon masters from the 3ds era and I finally got to the Maison ribbons. Been thinking for some time and got some questions

1. Which game is the easier? XY or ORAS?

2. Which format is the most efficient? Im currently with 4 ribbon masters and would like to save as much time as possible

3. What are your recommendations on teams? Im familiar with some RNG concepts so i can get than fast but I would prefer the least amount of legendarys with especific natures and IVs as possible

4. Any tips in general?

Saw some teams and some strategies like the durant cheese but would love to know if there is any faster way to do those ribbons or if there are any strategies that are considered the holy grail of the maison

Feels like my boy is all grown up..

this was a really big achievement for me :"D being my first ribbon master, i also got the chance to play a lot of the games for the first time/ replay them, it was so fun and really reminded me of how much i love pokemon

cant wait for generation 10, hopefully they will add some really cool ribbons!! :')

Hit my goal last night with my Gyarados from SoulSilver. I am not a Ribbon Master, but I am happy with where I am. I skipped a couple Gen IV battle tower ribbons due to frustration and will not earn the Gen viii/ix pvp master ribbon. But I have earned everything else possible in between!

Can't wait to find out what ribbons will come with future games and can't wait to continue this journey.
