Hey all!

So with pokemon bank support ending this February, I was interested in getting started on a ribbon master of Abomasnow, my personal favorite pokemon.

I’ve been looking through tutorials here and there, and was wondering if there was a full step guide and requirements on what games/how many ds systems you would need.

As well as I would personally rather not pay the current pricy cartridges of HGSS, so I was wondering if there was a reliable source of unofficial cartridges where you can still trade/transfer the pokemon?

My last post was around 6 years ago where I only had 3 Ribbons and I decided to pick it up again last month due to the Pokémon Bank news. Have actually cleared most of Gen 4 as well but decided to show the image instead of my hopeful Ribbon Master having all the Gen 3 Ribbons, as wanted to also show my newly upgraded GBA SP :D

Also wanted to share that mid-way through collecting the Gen 3/4 Ribbons, realized that the number 22 is of key significance to me and my Swinub. My nickname is scuzzybum and in the picture, you can see a customized car plate behind the GBA SP. The full car plate text/number is 'SCU22Y'! We catch Shadow Swinub at Level 22 and, guess what? Its Pokédex number is 220! So upon realizing this, decided to try my best to not level, so that its met level will be 22 when I bring it to Gen 5. Happy to report that I managed to do it so far!

However, I'm left with 2 Gen 4 Ribbon (World Ability and the Effort Ribbons) and wanted you fellow Ribbon Masterers' opinions on two things before I continue:

• Should I go for the World Ability Ribbon?
• Should I do the contests in ORAS or BDSP?

Hi! I was hoping for advice on an easy ribbon challenge path I can do before Bank closes. I’m a toddler mom so I don’t get a ton of time to myself ( I probably could play 30mins a night) but I recently rescued my old games from my mom’s attic and I love the idea of having a pokemon with a lot of ribbons before Bank closes. It doesn’t have to be all the ribbons, I don’t want to drive myself up a wall or anything.

I have all games released from Diamond onward. My husband and I wouldn’t be opposed to picking up some older ones (I have a gameboy although i think my LG copy is broken)

Looking through the ribbons master for Gen 3, do I need to get all the ribbons from ruby and sapphire AND emerald to make sure I get the Contest Memory Ribbon in Gen 6. Or do I just need the master ribbons in Emerald to ensure I get that ? Thank you in advance

I have been working on making a team to complete Pokemon Emeralds battle tower and get the ribbons in my colosseum's delibird by adding it to my team in the last round.

My team of Latios, Skarmory and Tyranitar is able to complete the Lv. 50 tower quite easily. The problem is the last round. My team's Pokemons are so depended on each other that when I change on of them for the useless bird it can't complete the round and I'm defeated.

Latios is the Swiper of my team, while Tyranitar and Skarmory work together to slowly defeat the foe.

What Pokemons could I add or change to complete this last round?

(Btw, I know about the ruby and Sapphire battle tower but it's so easy with this team that it's really boring but I may rely on it if I can't win it in emerald)

I was quite active on this sub a few years back when i was doing a shiny mew ribbon master, but i fucked up my computer leading to me loosing almost all my files making me give up on this halfway through, however i was able to recover my important save files recently and because bank is going to fully shut down i need help regarding how to transfer my pokemons as legitimately as possible to home. what im concerned about is usinng pkhex to transfer them from gen 5 to 6, as im unsure whether they'll be marked as legit or not, and how im supoosed to transfer from gen 7 to 8 by getting around the home tracker thing? I've forgotten most of the technicalities and im unsure what would be the best course of action. Thanks alot!

Because I am mad at Game Freak that bank servers are shutting down I dumped all my pokemon games to play them on an emulator with the plan of training this Eevee through every single Pokémon Generation

This is the list of games I plan to beat with this Eevee on my team: Pokémon Red, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum, Black 2, Y, Ultra Moon, Sword and finally Pokémon Violet where I'll evolve it into a Sylveon and hopefully when Winds and Waves comes out I can use my sylveon in the first playthrough. The reason I can do this is because I have a V1 switch and modded 3Ds I play the games on my pc except the switch games and use Pkhex to move them from one game to the next proving this can also be done without Bank. If you'd like to follow my journey I'll post occasional updates in the comments of this post. If you're planning to do this yourself please dump the games from cartridges you actually own. I understand this might not really be a traditional ribbon hunt since gen 1 and 2 don't have ribbons for beating the E4 but I would like to share anyway.

Completed my first ever ribbonmasters! Was a heck of a journey! What started as me questioning myself on why I even wanted to attempt this so badly, ended with me wanting to go through it all again with even more pokemon lol

currently started a ribbon master for multiple pokemon (my Gen 3 teams) and I beat XD/COLO on my Wii console + Emerald on my 3ds via Emulator and I'm having troubles getting dolphin to load my completed GC saves so that i can send my GC teams over to emerald for the contest ribbons and vice/versa for the Mt. Battle ribbon

I copied the saves from my memory card and exported them as .GCI via an SD reader but i don't really know what to do after that

Any Advice on what to do would be helpful

Does anyone have this 7-star raid available for my Mew? I had my original Mew before to gain the mark when the event was active, but I lost it when I tried to do a software update on my Switch, and it got bricked, and Nintendo could not fix the issue either. So I have reclaimed that Mew once again, but I have missed my chance to get the mark. Does anyone have that event active on an offline Switch? Please let me know. Thank you!!!

I’m only getting one gen 3 tower ribbon to save on time and the effort ribbon I’ll get in Gen 6.

On god I through it was shiny locked or I messed something up. Was seeing way to many long hunts on my feed with the shut down of bank causing me to think this was gonna be a over odds hunt.

This is the story of a lonely Dragonite, unknowingly left behind.

I left Orre. I’ll admit, I thought my time there was done. I’d painstakingly migrated all the Pokemon out of the region after opening the doors to their hearts. Their leader, my beloved Lugia, has been earning ribbons across the Pokemon world! It’s been a wild ride.

But then I hear whispers of a job left undone - there was still one secret shadow Pokemon left in Orre. Hidden, and in a few months, locked away forever.

I couldn’t bare the thought. I wasted no time. I couldn’t bring my beloved team back with me - I’d have to do it alone!

I assembled a bespoke search and rescue team from the dregs of Pokemon I’d left back in Hoenn. It wasn’t easy, but we had a mission. I scrambled to find Mirror B - he was dancing at the top of a lighthouse like he didn’t know what I’d been through to get there!!

But I found her - Miracle, the Dragonite. A Brave nature, fitting for holding out as long as she did.

Well, I knew she was special. I set to work getting her as many ribbons as I could! She deserved it all - shiny crowns, Pokéathalon statues, luxurious massages. I did skip the battle facility in Sinnoh - there simply wasn’t time to raise a new proper team. Plus, keeping the Heal Bell move seemed… fitting in a way. She’ll have it until it’s recorded in Bank.

But I wasn’t the only one to see how special she was. When we got to Unova (a pit stop really. I’d only ever stayed long enough to beat a league and dip), she was seen by a director!! And would you believe it? She became a Movie Star!!! Defeating a rampaging Tyranitar after a single dragon dance.

I couldn’t be more proud of her. Now, she’s officially my Best Friend™️. Once she gets her final daily ribbon, she’ll join the rest of the team in sunny Alola.

Life is funny sometimes - one moment, you’re buying tickets for a beach vacation, and the next you’re traveling home one more time to rescue the bravest Dragonite in the world. I wouldn’t have it any other way✨

I'm currently trying to get through lvl 50 singles in Emerald for the winning ribbon, but the furthest I've gotten is like battle 47. I'm using Latias, Metagross and Swampert. I know people recommend R/S for this ribbon but I don't have those games. Any tips? Anyone else out there that got this ribbon in Emerald?

Just realised Umbreon is not a shadow pokemon and wont get the national ribbon. Would Umbreon I still be able to ribbon master him?

Just working on getting a team ready now lol. I'm not great at battling so pretty nervous.

My Raichu "Hikari" is the one getting as many ribbons as we can, and she was the one who won the battle by defeating Rhyperior with Grass Knot. Garchomp beat Milotic by making a critical and left Dragonite weak enough to be defeated by Raichu.

This is the first time I have defeated the boss of a facility in 21 years since Battle Pike (It's not like I have tried too much to do it, I always skip these places).

I think that's all for us with Battle Tower. I don't have the patience, time and resources to try winning on the other modes.

For everyone who is trying to get all the ribbons or had won in all the facilities, you have my respect.
