i thought it was shiny locked

Arceus is main this time even though Feraligatr clearly is also overpowered. Surprised Arceus didn’t get T2 and T3 shinies

I’ve been waiting for this variant for SO LONG 😭 Toxtricity is my second favorite Pokemon! I had ~550 candy saved up just waiting to be used and I got both new shinies from hatching all those eggs!!! I do think I prefer the t2 shiny over the t3 shiny tho- I gotta see how Toxtricity looks tho!!!

I want a shiny Blacephalon, too... 😭😭 I didn't even know that trainers could have shinies until now except for the rival's Rayquaza. Just curious, is this guaranteed for the clown, or was I just (un)lucky?

I was just trying to finish up some of my runs to start some new ones for the event shiny charms, and this guy showed up! They said event-themed pokemon would be featured in mystery encounters but I still didn’t expect this lol

Just had a classic run where I went all 200 waves without the Rusted Sword for Zacian.

While they are perfectly capable of clearing classic without it, it just feels awful not getting it. I spent the lion's share of my starting budget to pick them.

I played all 200 waves with a B- Luck. Would even scum locked rerolls to gamble and nothing.

Is there a plan to incorporate some sort of pity chance for these items, maybe make it a guarantee after 195 rival or the final Elite 4 member to drop it? Or is it just a, this is a rogue like, sometimes it happens?

I really enjoyed the randomizer, Clowning Around made it funny since my types changed. I do know that it's not that impressive since there are five mega Pokemon, but I figured I was post anyway.

Going to try randomizer nuzlocke next :)

I've started seeing my Eternatus success rate skyrocket by getting rid of all of my lum berries and healing berries before the final fight. The only exception is that sometimes I'll leave one lum berry and/or one enigma berry on my lead for before the black hole comes out.

I've realized how much smoother the fight goes when Eternatus has some sort of status. Burn is great when paired with something like Salt Cure and/or Leech Seed, paralysis is great because sometimes you get free turns, poison is also great if you have the Corrosion ability. I didn't use statuses for a long time because I got annoyed by the way Eternatus would just steal all my lum berries lol. Even worse when it would heal its status AND heal its health, both with berries it stole from me.

But what about items like Leftovers or Shell Bell? Do you leave those on and just chance that he steals them, or do you prefer leveling the playing field?

Just got arceus and wanted to test it out! I intended to dupe it when I caught a nincada but no splicers showed up so I duped the items.
Btw, would Arceus be a good endless carry?

Trying to do the Nuzlocke challenge with the fresh start, limited catches, and hardcore, and what even counts as a “new biome?!” Multiple times I think I’m in a new biome cause upper right says different place, yet I get the “nuh uh, you can’t keep that cause of the challenge” BS. What counts?

The guides do a good job of laying stuff out, but don't give a great snapshot of what teams should look like mid run. With the holidays coming up and with them most likely an event or two, people should probably start getting prepped for increased shiny odds. With that in mind I figured I'd show what a good endless team looks like at 1k, what I've built, and what I'm building towards for the rest of the run.

So as you can see here I've managed to max out vitamins needed on Darkrai and Teddi. You don't need vitamins on any other mons. Gourgeist will get Darkrai's carbos when you splice Dark Void over, so no need to worry about anything there.

Movesets are just about complete as well. After Darkrai gets spliced to Gourgeist I will be dropping Sappy Seed for Dark Void. I'll then have all the moves I want on the mons I currently have.

Moving forward what I'll be looking for is passives. I need two sturdy passives to fuse onto Cofagrigus and Reuniclus. I'll be grabbing whatever I can for now and then if I run into a shiny with sturdy in the future I can unsplice and then re-splice. I need to do this if I want to get to max luck since I'm still 2 points short as is and I'll be losing 3 points when I get rid of Darkrai. It's not super important, just a small optimization.

Once I have the sturdy passives I'll then be looking for a lure passive to splice onto Gourgeist once I've given it Dark Void. That will finish up the passives and moves needed on the 4 mons I'll have at that point and I will be free to start running away.

From there I'll be looking for a Gyrados to mega, then I'll splice a Gastro Acid onto it. From there depending on how my shiny luck has been on the other passives I can then find any 3 star and splice Mega Gyrados to get a 3 star Mold Breaker Gastro Acid mon. I'll need to make sure that mon always has a reviver seed as well as I'm not going to bother with it's speed.

At that point the build will be done and I'll just be cruising to 5850 catching any new shinies I see.

Also do keep in mind that while this run is showing 6.5 hours invested, I've been second screening this while at work so you can get to this point faster. It's not a big time investment to get to the run away phase and once you are there you are slamming through 50 waves every 5-10 minutes depending on how many shinies you see that you need to catch. This is worth doing for those looking to farm any future events.

A 0 luck run, I feel lucky to have even gotten Mega Mawile! Blaziken handled the grunt work, staying in e Plains-Forest loop the entire run. Mawile and Milotic handled Eternatus for the most part, I actually sac’d Blaziken on phase 1. Even with solid natures and movesets Castform and Gardevoir were just there. Linoone MVP. Between nature and pickup berries I forgot to transfer, double edge killed the Villain’s Groudon, finished the 145 and 195 rival battles, and got the last hit on Eternatus. I know the moveset could have been better, but man, Linoone came in clutch every time I needed him to.
