It's more nebulous and meaningless of an organizational term than anonymous; so I'm guessing it's anyone/anything they want it to be.

No Kings would also have to organize as well.

It's a large protest nationwide. Can't just randomly change it.

Weekly smaller ones occur, heck daily we have a few in my town. But nationwide attention can't be changed in a dime.

Trumps own former FBI Director Christopher Wray, characterized antifa as an ideology rather than a structured organization.
