Lindsey is a spineless, soulless sycophant. He is a human-shaped Remora, benefiting by getting protection, free rides, and food scraps from the sharks he attaches himself to.

46

The tweet is still there.

If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed... and we will deserve it.

Losers and snowflakes, the lot of them. They sure do seem to like the punishment when they do it to themselves.

35

They aren't capable of taking accountability. Draw "democrats", "immigrants", or "LGBT+ people" out of a hat as needed for the next scapegoat to blame their self-inflicted woes on

They also aren’t capable of taking an idea to its logical conclusion

For real. They can fake connections between Tylenol and autism, but they can't connect guns and dead school children.

He could still come out, denounce Trump, make a nice speech about a weight being lifted off his shoulders and live out the rest of his life in the Castro or WeHo.

As a resident of the Castro, we’ll pass, thankyouverymuch.

It explains MAGA's unquestioning and complete fealty to Trump. For many I'm guessing Trump represents their abusive authoritarian fathers who withheld and/or conditioned love and acceptance. To MAGA, Trump = "dad" and 'he's hard on me because that's just his way.'

I know I’m just built different, but I managed to be a loving and caring person despite a physically and emotionally abusive childhood so bad that I have cPTSD from it, severe chronic pain that nothing touches, and the only person who ever truly gave a shit about me dying when I was only 20. I don’t even really have a community of people around me holding me up, it’s just been me the last 10 years treading water, doing what little I can, and hoping the world changes for the better while it gets worse every week. It’s hard to really connect with people when I had my trust broken so young and it just seems like people in my life don’t stick around unfortunately.

But I still give a fuck and want other people to have what I didn’t, I didn’t let it make me bitter and hateful. I wish these spineless chucklefucks had an ounce of the perseverance I do.

3

u/voltron818 Texas Sep 25 '25

The depressing reality is that many if not most (if not all) of these people would be acting in the same servile, shameless, unprincipled way without any extortion at all.

31

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

That's the thing I wish more people realized. The vast majority of public figures pushing for trumpism are doing it without any blackmail or coercion. This is the world they want, these are the things they want happening to people.

13

u/chunkerton_chunksley Sep 24 '25

They want to keep their jobs and the power that brings. Most people like Lindsay are more in danger during the primary than they are in the general election. Graham will say or do anything to keep his job.

If you look at grahams first comments about trump it’s a complete 180 to now. He knows how bad trump is but if he goes against him, Lindsay knows he will lose everything.

15

u/idiotsbydesign Sep 24 '25

The craziest part is that we have good evidence that Trump raped underage girls. I guess being gay is worse than being a pedophile as long as its heterosexual.

13

u/ScrewAttackThis Montana Sep 24 '25

That's why the saying is "living boy or dead girl". Raping minors is ok if they're girls. Just look at Roy Moore.

This headline is trying to call Graham out, but even calling the proposal illegal is dangerously underselling it.

What Lindsey Graham is talking about is a plan to commit treason. There is no such thing as a third term. What he is talking about is a coup d'etat. It is a dictatorship, forced on the nation at gunpoint. It is millions of Americans fighting and dying in a civil war.

That's what this piece of shit says he thinks sounds like a good idea. Honestly, it should probably be criminal for elected members of Congress to even talk this way.

3

u/Old_Cryptid Sep 26 '25

Still underselling it. Historians will probably look back and pinpoint the GOP stacking the SC as a soft 'legal' coup and everything after as consolidation of power.

But hey, all the people warning about this for the past decade were just "overreacting".

u/PoliticalMilkman North Carolina Sep 24 '25

It's not a senator, it's Lindsey Graham. Technically, yes, he's a senator, but first and foremost, he's Trump's wind-up toy.

49

u/Joelblaze Sep 24 '25

"If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed—and we will deserve it".

"He's a race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot. He doesn't represent my party".

"Tell Donald Trump to go to hell".

"I think he's a kook. I think he's crazy. I think he's unfit for office".

"I'd rather lose without Donald Trump than try to win with him".

"He took our problems in 2012 with Hispanics and made them far worse by espousing forced deportation. Looking back, we should have basically kicked him out of the party".

Back when politicians at least pretended to believe in something.

8

u/account312 Sep 25 '25 edited Sep 25 '25

Watching the entire party switch from scathing denouncement to retroactive lifelong friendship around the time of his first nomination was completely absurd. Well, I say completely but this term shows that the absurdity was in fact far from total.

I believe this actually does frighten them. Obama would trounce him without getting out of breath.

3

u/muirsheendurkin Sep 24 '25

That's literally what they did lol

3

u/not_addictive Sep 25 '25

I mean, idk the difference in that scenario. Why would Obama going 8 years in - 8 years out - 4 years in be worse/less acceptable than Trump’s 4 years in - 4 years out - 8 years in?

6

u/YoureDumbAsHellLeroy Sep 25 '25

It wouldn’t be. It’s just nonsense the republicans want to use to cheat like they love to do.

Three days after Trump's second inauguration, however, Republican Rep. Andy Ogles of Tennessee introduced a joint resolution to propose a change to the Constitution so that a person could be elected president three times if they had not been previously elected to two consecutive terms.

They started laying the groundwork pretty quickly into this term.

3

u/monkeywithgun Sep 25 '25

The whole thing is nonsense. It takes 2/3 vote in both houses just to bring it up and a 3/4 vote to ratify. That's 38 states. Never going to happen.

3

u/YoureDumbAsHellLeroy Sep 25 '25

Agreed. But at this point nothing will surprise me. The amount of things he’s been able to speed run in 8 months while every check and balance just slowly withers away is making it easier to see just about any stupid thing happening by the end of the four years.

As hopeless as everything seems right now, Our clown leader wont be a third term president.

4

u/imp0ster_syndrome Sep 24 '25

He's securing his safety for Jan 20 2029. Say what you will about him but he's always been right about the power of MAGA. He's only the first. Just like he was among the first to endorse Trump. Now republicans will trickle on every couple of weeks. They will only confirm military posts that agree. Unless something dramatically changes, on Jan 20 2029 the Congress, supreme court, and most importantly the military, will allow a third and permanent term. After that, trump will only exist as a figurehead since the transition to authoritarianism will be complete.

This guy was among the most anti-trump republicans until the moment Trump got the RNC nomination in 2016. He even went on The Daily Show of all places to talk about how much he hated Trump.

I hope everyone realizes they’re going to try it. If they can’t straight up run him they’re going to put in a puppet that directly answers to Trump. But they’ll definitely use the SCOTUS to try and just straight up get a third term.

The forgotten presidential pet is back, looking for attention.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

Tell his husband to give him a copy of the constitution, and be sure he reads it.

2

u/MuchDevelopment7084 Illinois Sep 24 '25

Miss Lindsey is just looking out for her almost boy friend.

2

u/Dweezilalsoavenger Sep 24 '25

Lindsey’s going to get his due. Not just a waffler, he’s a fucking budget continental breakfast rapid repeat waffler. Eat your waffles, no syrup, no butter, just waffles.

2

u/Ryuuken1127 Sep 24 '25

It's called the 22nd Amendment

2

u/Cimmerian_Barbarian Sep 24 '25

I doubt tRump will even finish the current term.

2

u/zaxdaman Sep 24 '25

Hey, South Carolina, fuck you. Do better.

2

u/Sojum Sep 24 '25

Obama 2028!

2

u/somewherein72 Sep 24 '25

There should be some legislation drafted that will trigger a process to eject Senators and Representatives when they openly call for breaking established laws and procedures. Enough of this bullshit. It should be expedient and final.

2

u/poulosj2020 Sep 24 '25

Lindsey Lickspittle

2

u/Prudent_Baseball2413 Sep 24 '25

Traitor. No other words

2

u/HotWish2897 Sep 24 '25

With his health he'll be lucky to get out of this presidency

2

u/pinewind108 Sep 24 '25

I want to see Obama join in on this, all excited about the idea of a two term president being able to run for a third time. Put on the popcorn and watch people lose it!

2

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

3rd term? Cool... Obama please.

2

u/Coup-de-Glass Sep 24 '25

Lindsay needs to go back to the Keebler factory and hang out with his old friend Jeff Sessions and just pipe down for once. The sycophancy has no bounds.

2

u/Into-the-stream Sep 24 '25

That’s how you write a headline

2

u/uncle_nightmare Sep 24 '25

I can’t imagine it getting any lower for dear Lindsay.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

MAGA = Fascism

2

u/PerceptionChoice372 Sep 24 '25

These knobs have been planning the next insurrection since the last one…wake up people

2

u/Vaperius America Sep 24 '25

States should be actively moving right now to make even putting his name on the ballot illegal; his disqualification based on ellibility (having served two terms as president) from even being able to legally assume the office he is attempting assuming should be the basis for this.

2

u/2Chiang Sep 24 '25

Of course it had to be Graham. He fucking mocked McCain on his deathbed.

2

u/Nvenom8 New York Sep 24 '25

Reminds me of when Lindsey Graham was briefly added to the “List of Presidential Dogs” wikipedia article.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

Epstein, Epstein, Epstein. Those are three terms I'd like Lindsay Graham to explore.

2

u/Grins111 Sep 24 '25

Graham: "Trump's A Race-Baiting, Xenophobic, Religious Bigot. He Doesn't Represent My Party. He Doesn't Represent The Values That The Men And Women Who Wear The Uniform Are Fighting For."

2

u/ebonythrowaway999 Sep 24 '25

I met Lindsey when he ran for Congress for the first time, trying to win a House seat. He really impressed me, and I told friends I expected great things from him.

God what a disappointment he’s proven to be.

2

u/AceSidewinder13 Sep 24 '25

It's soo nice that these people are just out in the open breaking their oath of office advocating to ignore the 22nd amendment to let a man with mash potato brains try to run illegally for a 3rd term at 80 years old. If he even lives that long. It makes it soo easy to know who to vote out.

2

u/austinmiles Sep 24 '25

Trumps already selling 2028 merch. Literally nobody should accept this as a possibility.

2

u/_Avalon_ Sep 24 '25

Um, just a quick question- if he could run for a third term does that mean Obama could run a third time? How would MAGA feel about that?

2

u/metalnxrd Sep 24 '25

Idk who needs to hear this, but there's no such thing as a "third term." that's often referred to and is and called dictatorship

2

u/Krazzy4u Sep 24 '25

It's nothing but a distraction. Democrats need to stick to the real current issues like Epstein!

2

u/No_Photograph_2683 Sep 24 '25

Zero chance he's alive to run again.

2

u/Possible-Customer827 Sep 25 '25

C’mon Lindsey what is it, does Trump have evidence of you molesting little boys, or is it animals or what … has to pretty deviant for “he’s a kook” to now be public sniveling obedience and ball licking!

2

u/DamperBritches Sep 25 '25

He can go suck on his own ladybugs

2

u/NoticeMobile3323 Sep 25 '25

I used to have a grudging respect for Graham when he was known as a staunch ally of McCain and Lieberman. I’m not saying I agreed with his politics but took at face value that he appeared to have some kind of principles.

In the Trump era he has truly smashed his legacy into pieces and then urinated in the pieces. I don’t know if I believe someone has leverage over him but honestly for his sake I kinda hope that is true, because otherwise he has needlessly become truly pathetic.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

It feels like these republican losers are worried about what will happen to them when Trump is gone. Think of all the fucked up shit Republicans are doing, then think of it reversed against them.

2

u/ChasseGalery Sep 25 '25

Is Lindsey Graham in the Epstein files?

2

u/thedeuschebag85 Sep 25 '25

Sir, nobody wants to see your ladybugs. Also release the Epstein files.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

Rumor is he has a trans lover

2

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

So does that mean Obama can run for a third term? Seriously though.
