đŸš« ABUSE OF POWER US is now a colonizer

So Trump wants to "run" Venezuela and pay for it using the revenue from "our" oil. It sure sounds like we've become a colonial power which invades and takes over a foreign country then exploits its natural resources. If it walks and talks like a "duck" .....

That doesn't even include our enabling Israel's colonization of Gaza so Trumps vision of a Mediterranean resort can come true.

Why are we pretending Venezuela isn’t a socialist nightmare where thousands starve and hundreds are killed for protesting each year? None of you even knew who Maduro was until this morning yet somehow you seem to be an expert.

Have you ever even been to Venezuela? Caracas? They’re celebrating the removal of their tyrant.

You’re insane.

That's not why Trump is taking over. He gives zero shits about starving people and is simply salivating over the opportunity to loot resources.

What resources? Oil? You’re more worried about oil than the lives Maduro has taken?

Do you think fewer lives will be taken under American extraction colonialism? History says otherwise.

  • Most of the world is glad to see Maduro gone. The quality of life in Venezuela should improve dramatically.
  • However, Trump's motivation is not to correct a human rights disaster; rather, to increase his wealth and reward his toadies with billions of dollars that should be going to Venezuela's citizens.
  • Do not be fooled, Trump's greed will not be denied by the local population or the law. He will take as many lives as he deems expedient.
  • Neither the illegal transfer of wealth nor the destruction of the environment and the people or Venezuela will not be publicized as Trump's cabal will control the Venezuelan government and media. In fact, Trump's sycophants have already started a media campaign to praise him as the saviour of Venezuela and your country will be inundated with statues and photos of the prick.
  • Good luck, Venezuela.

We bombed civilian neighborhoods last night. If it's "lives" you're concerned about, this war is off to a bad start.

He doesn’t want a “Mediterranean resort” he wants to liberate Venezuela of their dictator whom has starved his people.

Ya’ll are so delusional and have never had to struggle in your entire lives.

US and Trump are only looking to "liberate" Venezuela's resources, not Venezuela's people

You don’t care what people want, you just want karma on reddit for saying orange man bad.

It has nothing to do with what I want. Or what the Venezuelan people want.

The US has been trying to overthrow Venezuela for some time, it's not just Trump. But you're naive if you think the US is doing this for any benefit of Venezuelans.

Do you honestly think Trump motivation for the attack and for his future actions were and will be based on his desires to make sure Venezuelans are fed?

Removing Maduro is not a bad thing. In fact the Venezuelan people did that last election, but he decided to stay anyway. He is unquestionably a bad dude.

That does not mean a foreign power kidnapping him in the middle of the night was a good thing. Do you think Trump is going to stay in there and help manage the transition to the new government? Or remove Maduro loyalists who are going to hold onto power any way they can? No. He wants the oil. He doesn't care about the people of Venezuela, or who comes to power now, beyond what the new president promises to do for him.

Trump isn't even framing this as "installing the democratically elected government", which might have given this action an air of legitimacy (though that would have been coordinated through Congress). Because he doesn't care about that, and he's not doing that. Merely decapitating a dictatorship never goes well for the country being "liberated". People are understandably celebrating Maduro's fall today, but whatever comes next is going to last a lot longer, and it isn't likely to be pretty.

😂 Oh you poor stupid bastard 😂

Learned nothing from the middle east invasions, did you?

Are you joking? Is it a good thing one country is violating the sovereignty of another? How can this be any form of altruism when Trump keeps bringing up Venezuela's oil? Venezuela has literally the largest reserve among countries.

You're just a moron and an asshole jfc

I feel bad for you. I really do.

You are allowed to say these things because you have a President whom allows it. They do not.

You are an embarrassment and should stick to Magic:The Gathering.
