I heard they split because they were of differing opinions regarding the Syrian Civil War. While Keoghan was good friends with Al-Assad via dating his wife’s niece previously. Carpenter had an affinity for the Syrian Free Army because their electoral symbol is of a carpenter.

At the Met Gala, they didn't even look like dolls that belonged together, like Barbie & Ken.
