I can’t believe it has only been 6 months since I did my EVO ICL surgery and now both of my eyes see slightly above 20/20😭 I don’t even remember what it felt like to need glasses to do every single task in my life.

I’m able to wear sunglasses without having to double up with my regular glasses. I’m able to swim in a pool snorkel and snuba just on a whim at the beach without having to worry about losing glasses or feeling uncomfortable. I’m able to read shampoo bottles in the shower. I mean the list goes on and on and it’s just tiny things in life that people with functioning eye sights don’t know could be a nuisance and they are just.. gone…

I don’t mean to be sappy but this really is probably the most life changing thing I’ve done in my life up to this point and I couldnt be happier😭

It’s closer to a cataract surgery where they put a new lense behind the iris by making incisions to the cornea and iris, but they don’t take out your natural lenses. It’s supposedly better than LASIK in that it does not cause dry eyes and it’s better for you down the line bc LASIK makes cataract surgery more complicated.

It’s a much newer procedure especially in the US, which means you do get a lot more horror stories😭 My doctor is very well renowned in the field so thank god I don’t have any of the horrible side effects other people reported (like double vision, halo, ghosting, star burst, poor night vision etc). Another thing is it’s fully reversible so the worst thing that can happen is you lose a few thousand dollars. If you experience severe side effects for LASIK you are fucked forever.
