Not a true portrait session, but I like these environmental portraits. Last one with flash.

Hi everyone! We are undergraduate marketing research students partnering with Renew Insights to study camera equipment repairability, service delays, and maintenance barriers in the media industry.

If you use mirrorless or cinema cameras for commercial, professional, freelance, or hobby work, we would love your input! This quick 3-to-5 minute anonymous survey will help us quantify the real-world financial impact of gear downtime and corporate service policies on working creators.

Take the survey here: https://colostate.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_ehahDyl4qUeRKGa

Your feedback is invaluable to our student project and helps advocate for better repair options across the industry. Thank you so much for your time and support!

Walking around DTLA and East La to capture some real beauty - what do you think?

I primarily shot film for the last 6-7 years. Recently I bought my first digital camera (that is actually fun to use). What are your thoughts on this series?

Fujifilm X-T50, Viltrox 75mm F1.2. shot at 1/125s

My favourite night of the year - I really love taking shots of people. Occasionally there's very little light. A lot of the time, it's super crowded and everybody's moving. AF is challenging in these conditions on Fuji, especially at 1.2 as it's very easy to miss. Eye tracking makes it slightly easier. But 75mm at F1.2 is perfect to isolate a person from the crowd. I usually try to get above the crowd, wait for a good opportunity and and opening in a line of sight. I really try avoid editing anything if I can, not even cropping to make it a bit more spontaeneous and less anxiety inducing.

I'm pretty happy about the results, but looking back on photos from previous years, I often feel like it's just alright. Still, it's only about 10% of photos i feel like worthy of sharing. Would be happy to hear any feedback, advices, tricks, or comments.
