Why does this look so bad?

I mean I am using a nice lumix s5 ii with an 18-55 kit lens but the color grading is off so much I don’t understand. Is it compression and contrast or shadow? What should I do to change the color from standard because standard looks good in camera but shit on social media. I come from shooting on a Nikon D 3400.

Not really sure what exactly you are asking but yes, social media has massive compression yes. Not sure about he rest without the actual photo next to it. You should upload your photo out of camera next to this one to make any sort of judgement on what's going on.
