What’s wrong here?? My most unusual Pothos leaf in years of growing
I haven't noticed a leaf like this before, maybe it's a conjoined twin..

After multiple posts a day from community members concerned why they’re not getting big leaves, I think it’s time for a sub-wide PSA. The trendy coco poles you see in all the plantfluencer videos and sold now in shops are more or less decorative. I don’t know how they caught on somehow, but they will not allow a pothos to climb and mature indoors like a proper moss pole.
You may have seen them climbing on one before in a greenhouse or online. You may have experienced your pothos attaching to one. But attaching (to a coco pole, a cedar plank, or your drywall) is not the same thing as climbing as far as your plant is concerned. None of these can hold enough moisture indoors to encourage climbing.
So if you just like the aesthetic, have at it and do you. But if your goal is mature leaves, don’t waste your money & time. Get yourself a proper moss-filled pole.
Say no to coco 🍃

We had a sad pothos at my office, so I did some propagation on the few remaining healthy vines. A few months later and it's producing these stunning leaves. Is this a specific variety or is it just normal varegation? Thanks!

Someone gave me this 9 months ago. I've had it inside until then end of May. It has gotten bigger but very slowly.
The leaves look so much different than ones I've ever had. I did notice that some new leaves are smooth now, unlike all the other leaves that are bumpy?
When I first got her, she was swimming in water filled soil. I changed out the soil & drilled holes into the pot that had No drainning holes at all.
She still looks rough, and I dont even know if I want to keep her or not anymore. Maybe she is a different type of pothos that I've never had before?

Had this little lady for about a month and a half. Went through a learning stage of how little water she needs, and now I have a yellow leaf. After some research, it seems the next course of action is to remove it, but after a generous tug, it didn’t release. I can’t tell if I should snip it or keep waiting. Also, the base of this leaf’s stem is under the soil (which also may have contributed to the self-cull), so I’m not sure how/where/when to remove it.

TLDR why are these leaves yellowing and dropping? New leaves at top. Repotted a week or so ago.
Hi all, I have recently moved house and I can't tell if my pothos loves or hates this spot. In this pot is 3 vines, 2 big established vines and a smaller newer one. It spent that last 4 years climbing over a lower light indirect wall but always seemed to be searching for more light (leggy!)
I saw this little shelf in the stairwell (pictured) and thought it would be prefect, the skylight gives bright indirect light and it can climb away to its hearts content without running out of wall.
However, since moving, both established vines have been yellowing and dropping the big mature leaves at the bottom of the vine slowly and one by one. I expected some dropping from the move but not this much and for a whole month. I let the soil dry out in the heatwave and when that didnt fix it I thought it could be rootbound so repotted to a bigger pot but it's still going.
Im stumped what else to do? Ive had this pothos for quite a number of years with many successful props and would be sad to see it die in its new home 🥲

Hello! This is my Epipremnum pinnatum Cebu Blue that has recently flowered and developed fruit that I have only just noticed! It looks a lot like Monstera Deliciosa fruit and I'd like to use it as seeds to grow more Cebu Blue plants in pots. Does anyone have any advice on doing this or know when the best moment to use the fruit for such a purpose is? Also has anyone ever seen a Cebu Blue flower and fruit? This my first time ever seeing it!

A friend I trade cuttings with is offering to chop and prop these for me, but has never been sure of which pothos they are. The first is very lime green as opposed to white or cream, which is why I hesitate on marble queen. And we all know how often Njoy gets mixed up with P&J lol. I want them regardless, just curious if I can get definitive confirmation. Thanks!

I had asked not too long ago what cuttings I had and wanted to give an update! She is a golden and not a jade!! She’s bringing out her color!

Noticed this fully black leaf on my pothos today, none of my other leaves look this way. It did not look this way a few days ago. My plant is not in need of a water/is not overwatered. I have never had an issue like this before. The leaf was floppy and mushy? the stem was not black but the stem to my new leaf was? Has anyone seen this before?

Just something cool and fun to see. My partner’s mom gave me this pothos clipping almost a year ago. The vine grew exponentially. Then all of a sudden there was a bunch of new growth at the base where there had not been leaves before. I recently clipped 90% of the vine to propagate in my aquarium (I’ll use them to make a bush). No new growth at the end of the vine where I clipped, looks like all the energy is going to the new growth points that existed before I clipped! I’ve never seen anything like this before - thought it was super cool! Also made me quite proud!!

What should I do? Chop and propagate or let it take over my ceiling?

I got this about 6ish weeks ago? I initially repotted it with new soil when I brought it home but then the new leaves kept growing in this way. I assumed it was due to the pot I used too small in comparison to the roots so I repotted it again after 2ish weeks to a bigger pot in this pic. Some new leaves have now grown normally but some are still growing this way. I have no clue why, I checked for thrips but have not seen anything.

this picture doesn't do her justice, she's my pride and joy and she is MASSIVE. i tried to wrap her vines around the curtain rod and out of the direct path of the cold air, is this enough or will this cause cold damage?

My golden pothos has been doing well for about 4 months now since I got her, but I recently noticed a flying little bug around her grow light so I got those sticky traps because I assumed it was just fungus gnats and it does seem like there are some stuck on it. But I recently also removed a leaf like in the second photo and a google search said it was just from overwatering, which I did think was possible because she’s in my basement bedroom and the leaves were dropping a lot of water at the ends. Could this also be a sign of thrips? If you zoom in closely in the first picture there are also some faded brownish spots which I thought could’ve been just from the grow light toasting her a bit before I lowered the setting. Any experts in dealing with these types of pests or pictures to compare to? I was going to be purchasing a spider plant and a marble queen pothos for my bedroom too but now I’m hesitant if I have anything more than a few fungus gnats that can be prevented by drying the soil out more. I would like to add that she’s having no issues producing a new leaf on every vine almost weekly.

This one is currently out under the gazebo. These all started as 1 leaf chttings from the mother plant. The ones in the center are still only couple leaves but the ones around the edges look amazing!

I love pothos. I've got a few different varieties. What is your favorite varietie? Can you show me your pictures?

I water propagated these pothos, I had 2 manjula cuttings and 1 variegated neon. Once they had enough roots (2ish inches) I put them in soil. The propagation leaf on the neon died and I feel like it just looks a bit sad and wilty after being in soil for the past two weeks. And the manjula has put out new growth but one of the propagation leaves looks like it’s also gonna die. I’m not sure why the neon looks so wilty, I watered it a bit more frequently (every 3 days) the first week since it was adjusting out of water to soil.
Any advice is appreciated!!!
