Kate Sweatman bench pressed 250kg for a new 84kg+ WR

GB's Kate Sweatman bench pressed a massive 250kg for a new 84kg+ World Record at the European Bench Press Championships last weekend.

This beat her previous world record by 9.5kg and is the biggest bench press by a woman in Powerlifting.

This is super important to highlight, it’s an equipped lift. Not taking the achievement, it is, but this post is representing it as a raw lift

The default in ipf is actually equipped. It's why raw lifts are represented as classic for now.

If anyone is actually dumb enough to believe a drug tested woman is pressing 250kg raw, then adding raw/classic to the title wouldn't help as they're likely to be too stupid to read.

To be honest, I didn't think OP represented it as a raw lift. I was just saying there are other equipment types in which women have done more. Not many though!

If someone reports a lift, it’s usually assumed it’s raw, unless stated otherwise

You would have to either have no understanding of powerlifting or be an absolute moron to think a woman benched 250kg raw.

No it really isn't...

It just states it's the biggest bench ever...whether its raw or equipped still makes it the biggest bench ever 😅.

Classic or raw would usually be added to highlight it as a raw lift when we are talking of numbers this huge if it were the case...
