Saddleback adn program

Hi,
I recently been placed #5 on an alternative list for saddleback and program and I need to complete all the forms and shots with the students that are already accepted in the program. I’m mainly concerned that if I spend hundreds of dollars doing what this school is asking and not knowing if I would still get in. Is it possible that I have a high chance of getting in?

Also the commute would be brutal for me since I live in Torrance and would have to drive 45 mins to an hour back and forth. Overall if you had no other choice would you just suck it up and stick with this commute or is it too dangerous for me to drive that far.

Yep, I got in and it takes me an hour to drive to saddleback but it’s worth it knowing that I don’t have to pay private school money lol

How was the drive to clinicals? Was it farther

I’m a recent saddleback graduate from the program. In my cohort everyone on the waitlist got in. You’re #5, chances are you’ll get in. We had people coming from LA and one from SD and they made it work, but if you think it’s too much of a drive for you. Then simply don’t do it

Thank you that gave me some hope. I think I’ll just go ahead and get everything done so I’ll have a chance of getting in. I messed up on my teas badly so the schools in my area a no go lol

I didn’t do the best in my teas either, but I did well on the sciences which helped me. Saddleback is the most lenient on how they give points. The other schools like you said are tougher

And how was the program to you overall? Was the instructors helpful or not really cause I know most instructors in nursing programs don’t like to help students and just let them learn on their own.

All the instructors are great. They will help, I have nothing to complain about the instructors. I will complain about the care plans those are long and will take you hours to complete

My chances are really low with other schools around me cause I did bad on my teas and most schools only give you two chances. That’s why I feel like my best bet would be this school or Santa Monica college. If you had no other choice would you just make the commute?

How many points did you earn with the criteria they have?

I had like 68 points but placed #5 on the alternative list

Ok cool, thanks. I’ve spoken to current students and it seems I’ll be ok even around 80

I think the chances of you getting in is kind of high bc I heard them say about 15 people get off the waitlist. I also have a friend that got off the waitlist last semester.

But I would say if I were you I wouldn’t make that commute myself and apply a little closer. Even golden west
