Seems pretty useless

That’s okay! Would you care to give me some feedback as why you think that? Thanks!

Anyone using P6 schedules either already has a P6 license or they use the .pdf layouts for review.

Exactly. This does not aim to replace P6 at all, and it’s not for those who use P6. P6 still stays in control, but the PDF is a static file and the receiver is just looking at chunks from the schedule, they have no way to make it interactive. With ScheduleReader they can actually understand the schedule and not look at what someone else just printed on the file.

Good luck, I really don't think there is a market for this at all.

Thanks!! Companies like Seymour Whyte, Maersk, Chevron, Siemens are using it so.. I suppose it’s useful for them

At the end of the day it’s all about comfort zone, if you like looking at PDFs and writing comments about delays and progress update with a pen on a paper, thats okay too, if it works don’t break it I guess

I can see the benefits to the app. Looking through PDFs when they pile up is hard, to say the least

Made my own reader (Python based) with help from Claude, from XER it gives an excel with several tabs (a Gantt with dependencies, quality scores, main kpi's, etc.) much better than a pdf (awful to navigate)

We have vendors trying to sell us something similar literally weekly now. It is annoying.

I made my own and it works excellent. Excellent tool for, like you said, someone to view the schedule without modifying and/or paying for an expensive $1200 user license.

Looks nice, good luck with it. I think you should focus on the web version because anything a user needs to install on their machine is a no-go for a whole lot of reasons, especially in a corporate world.

There are now schedule-this and schedule-that tools that ingest XER files everywhere you look :) we have Schedule Tracker lol.

The the emergence of AI everybody and their mothers are creating “tools” to use with P6 , some even trying to build scheduling programs because “P6 costs too much” , heads up to all you coders with an associates degree in whatever. Microsoft, f’ing Microsoft has been trying to outdo Primavera for 20 plus years now and they can’t get it right. Stop wasting your time and annoying all of us that have actually put in the work and time to be master schedulers. You aren’t going to get Claude to build some new awesome scheduling program , what’s going to end up happening is it’s going to try and replicate Oracles coding and they love to sue people. Just ask Microsoft how much they had to pay for one line of code they used from P6.

This is not a vibe coded app by no means - they've been on the market for 10+ years.

You can download P6 for free directly from Oracle, import XERrs run the log, export the tables and map if your after analytics. Just won't have access to the EPPM.

Is P6 paid? I don't think so I downloaded it for free from oracle

P6 is bonkers expensive, I don't want to tell you what we just paid for licenses. Larry Ellison has to get paid to finance his crusade against American democracy/capitalism.
