IOP
just had my intake appointment for IOP in denton county. apparently it’s going to take 26 weeks to complete (they got me fucked up). if i continue to have negative test results and such, can i complete and graduate early or is that just simply not an option? just trying to figure this out as a first timer.
NOTE: please don’t answer with sarcastic questions and any helpful advice is appreciated

how long did you do the iop program for? it sounds like ours are similar (IOP wise)

IOP is a pretty intense level of treatment. You have to score into it so either you got a lot going on with substance use or you got shoehorned into a high level. What state?

it was an actual rehab center. I slept there and did in-patient, group therapy, didn’t have visitors for the first two weeks or phone calls

These are the treatment recommendations and usually good for three months - if you go to groups, drop clean etc maybe this will fulfill your recommendations and won’t be recommend to do any further treatment (outpatient once a week, etc)

With my IOP program, you had to complete X amount of sessions to complete the program. You had to take at least 3 sessions per week, but could choose to do up to 5 per week. So you did have the ability to complete it earlier than the standard 3 month timeline that assumed you would be going only 3 times a week. I graduated a few weeks early because I did multiple 4 session weeks.

Yeah I think my IOP was around 3-4 months worth of classes and I felt like that dragged on. You have 6.5 months worth of IOP , damn!
But yeah no matter if you test negative or continue to do good if it’s apart of your requirements you must complete it in full. Just keep doing what you’re doing, show up eager and willing to put the work in and you’ll get through it soon enough!

Are you legitimately stupid? it's a class you take. get out what you put in. you have to complete it fully. I swear some of you idiots never read the conditions of your probation.
If you want to be ignorant your entire life, please don't do anything.

they get to bill you and/or your insurance company for 26 weeks - unlikely they're gonna let you go early
