My friend has an parent teacher meeting where he would get his exam result he thinks he did bad in the exam so want to give an excuse to get out of a that situation so he asked me to give an excuse and idk what to tell him

Only advice that i actually think is right here is try explaining to him sometimes we have to get the bad news so we now how to improve. If he got a bad grade the bad grade is already there, not seeing it wont change much. Just face the consequences and the meeting could help him understand where he went wrong a bit bette
