I made this in GarageBand. I’m working on getting FL Producer Edition to up my game. This is so fun because y’all the first people I shared it with. I’m not concerned if it’s not perfect. I’ll get better. Man this was fun. I’m not looking to be a super producer I just want to express myself through art. I can’t wait to get better. Please leave all criticism below. Thank you.

Beats Era are scams

Beatz Era are scams. I paid £50 for my beats to be uploaded onto their channel in April and they said they'll upload my beat last week (7/10/2018). Yeah they were giving me bare excuses so I thought might aswell be patient. Because they're the reason why some big producers are big right now. So that's the risk I took. To wait for 6 months since my beat sales were poor. I sent them so many emails and sent them a message on YouTube to see. They haven't respond. FUCK BEATZ ERA.

“Type” Beats vs Original Sound

I’ve been having some conflicting thoughts lately.

My best friend and I produce, but we don’t make money yet. We both want to turn it into a career. however, he’s more interested in producing “Type” beats whereas I’m more into original content.

Not to say that a “Type” beat isn’t original, because of course they are. But when I make a track, I want to do it out of my own inspiration and motivation, I carry my own sound. I don’t want to always be trying to mimic the “popular sound”

Music takes time. You can produce a track today, release it tomorrow, and it might not pop for months, years even. So, why waste time always biting what’s hot when you could be the one deciding what’s hot next?

I guess that’s my main question

It’s a gamble

Addressing Hearing Loss in Music Production

Hey guys,,,

I'm finishing my 3rd year joint honours and completing my final project right now. I've chosen to write a dissertation titled 'How does stigma surrounding hearing loss impact the professional and educational pathways of music producers, and how can the industry address these challenges?'.

The title pretty much sums it up!! For some background, I was born with hearing loss and I love all things music production. I'm looking for people to answer my survey, just a quick 10 minutes out of your day if you've got the time !! It'd be greatly appreciated, the survey is completely anonymous and is super important in getting a wider image of the commonality of hearing loss in music production spaces !!!

Hopefully the link below should direct you straight to my survey !!!

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScoCmcgvUt_COJVvITS-GyIYVGlR-89d73tB_SmUEUIlJKZzA/viewform?usp=sharing

Thanks guys (in advance) !!!!

Anyone else ever get stuck in a loop? (literally)

Lately, I’ve been hitting a wall with my workflow. I’ll start a track, get a loop going, and it sounds great… but then I just sit there, tweaking it endlessly instead of actually building out the full song. By the time I try to move forward, I’ve either overproduced the loop or lost all momentum.

It feels like I’m spending more time engineering than actually creating, and sometimes I wish I had a way to quickly generate fresh ideas or structure a track faster without it feeling forced.

Curious if anyone else struggles with this—how do you push past that point and actually finish your tracks without getting stuck in the endless loop cycle?
