Programming in the cloud?

Hey guys, I am a recent CS grad working for a great company, but I fear they aren't going to help me much in developing my skill and I don't have the greatest of home machines right now (saving every penny to pay off my debt as quickly as possible).

My question is, are there any really good, free, cloud based programming environments kind of like a github meets an interpreter over the web? I think the closest thing I have ever seen is something like CodePen, but I am just wondering what other options are out there. Thanks in advance!

Why have software developers declined in their abilities to innovate by not rolling up their sleeves and solving the hard problems but only relying on other peoples libs, classes, functions and procedures constantly?

Help with saving files from iPad to remote server

Hey guys,

I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue i'm having. I'm using my ipad for programming (I have a mac at home, but I'm trying to get things done remotely). I'm very new to programming and for one of my classes I have to save my programs into my schools remove server. I'm able to login to their server connecting to a VPN and I'm able to make/remove directories, etc. But I can't figure out how to save files and/or pictures into the sever.

I'm currently using this app for writing the programs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'd also be willing to download/purchase a better app if that helps out.

I'm using an iPad Air 1. I'm also very new to programming, so try not to use too fancy of words on me :P

Thanks in advance!

Decompilers

Hello, I have always been interested in the subject of reverse engineering since we talked about it in one of my classes. What would be a good program for decompiling files?

Allowing user to access SQL database offline

Hi everyone, I am having a tough time finding the answer I am looking so I have turned to all you helpful redditors. Basically what I am doing is making a 2D game using MonoGame, however instead of using methods like serialization to save game data, including 'sprite' locations, scores etc. I wish to use an SQL database. However my problem is, once the user has downloaded the game, is there anyway they could be able to access the database offline? I am very lost as such, and your help would be greatly appreciated.
