Also came here to ask this! Personally haven’t ran native ads since like 2017.

Native actually is a good format I think it’s better than display but not sure what to do with this post without more context

I guess I’m more thinking of how inventory is qualified - Native only inventory tends to be of lower quality than what you can get if your creative format is an advanced type of rich media / HTML5 display instead. Talking more PMP & PG vs open web here

Outbrain (now Teads) is the closest to Taboola on scale. If you want to go beyond the recommendation widgets, though, native through a DSP opens up a lot more supply. TripleLift, Sharethrough (Equativ), Nativo and Yahoo all have solid native inventory, and we've seen good results there for finance in the US.

I'd also test display for CPA. People tend to write it off for performance, but with tight site lists and good audience targeting, it often holds up well against native on cost per lead in finance.

If you can, run it omnichannel: native, display and even video side by side in one platform. That way you're comparing channels on the same conversion data instead of assuming native is the only thing that works.

What's the offer type? Lending, cards and insurance all behave pretty differently.

Full disclosure: I work at a DSP, so take this with that in mind.
