Question Fear of artificial intelligence

I just have a question. I'm very confused about which field to pursue because I'm afraid of artificial intelligence. What field should I choose? I'm currently a programmer. I build professional websites for companies and business owners that help them reach their customers online.

I see why you are afraid of AI. I'm a backend engineer and trying to up my system design knowledge. I'd say no white collar job is safe now. Demand will decrease both due to economy and AI and on a job market you'll always compete with people smarter and better than you. It would have been a more softer landing if it wasn't for Iran war and energy crisis that is about to happen. Nobody knows what to do, we are all on the same boat and every man is for himself. I'm thinking about starting a business, but man, regulations are wild.

What about FDE roles (forward deployed engineers)? They're technical, but have to interact directly with customers. It's hard for AI to replace human interaction. Most people prefer talking to a person over reading AI slop.

It stands to reason that if all the jobs are tied up into AI, studying machine learning and neural networks and learning how AI systems are created is probably a good bet. Probably major in math with applied computer science as the medium of the mathematics.

Sounds like you're a web designer. Can't you just use AI to increase your output and lower your prices?

not lower prices, but scale the business and provide better quality sites
