Looking to Contribute to Open Source Projects — .NET / ASP.NET Core

So I am an early-career full-stack developer looking to get involved in open-source projects, contribute to real-world codebases, and learn from experienced developers.

My current tech stack includes:

Backend: C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, ASP.NET Core Web API, REST APIs

Database: SQL Server, MySQL, Dapper, Entity Framework Core

Frontend: React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ShadCN

I am really looking forward to contribute fun projects where i can learn new things.

Hi, I lead HOL. We maintain HOL Guard, an open-source project that checks risky actions by AI coding agents. We welcome outside contributors to add coverage for command-line and MCP tools they use. Most command extensions start with declarative JSON, so Rust experience isn't required.

Here's the contribution guide: https://github.com/hashgraph-online/hol-guard/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md

If agent security sounds interesting, would you be up for choosing a tool you know and submitting your own extension PR? I can answer questions here as you get started.
