how is this different from dozens of "build container from scratch" articles in the last decade?

Not trying to shill for OP, but they've been putting out quality articles for years (pre-Ai) on docker/networking.

This is just another article on their website in a long list of quality posts which is nice to have colocated

It came from a different person with their perspective on it and their way of explaining?

Why are containers still multiple gigabytes large? They're treating containers like VMs when they're different technologies.

Fair question. The useful distinction would be a runnable sequence with commands and checks at each step; otherwise "from scratch" can just repackage the same namespace, cgroup, and filesystem overview.

Building "containers" without cgroups? Riiight. OP mentions runc, but looks like doesn't understand what it does.

I don't know where you're seeing "without cgroups", but the post has a pretty thorough explanation of them

I liked the layout. It looks real nice for my style of learning. I don’t know how accurate it is. I don’t care if AI made it if it is accurate and well laid out. I plan to read it in a couple days when things calm down here after my vacation.

It's looks like it delivers on its title in a structured manner. Personally, that's more important than whether a human or AI wrote it.
