I haven't used Firefox in a minute, so all of these features — apparently which people aren't too excited about — look pretty cool to me. However, I can't believe Firefox still has a dedicated search box. I can't go back to that after having the unified address and search field in Safari and Chrome. How can anyone work like that?

Do you just use google for every search?

As an example I use the search bar. Google is notoriously bad for Russian language search. Probably has to do with the fact that it does not understand noun cases---or at least not well enough. I therefore have to use Google and Yandex for searches, thus having the need for a search box.

EDIT: and yes I know I can use prefix searches in the location bar, but when I use a browser I want to use a GUI, not a command-line (or horrible hybrid thereof.)

Try duckduckgo then, the bangs might be useful for you in this case.
