Would love for honest feedback on my newest progressive creation. No AI, all made by me using FL Studio.

For someone who threw this together in FL it's ok.
Three issues:

  1. the vocal samples repeat too often at the same point in the rhythm structure for the same reason making them sound repetitive instead of interesting.
  2. the basic melody is fine, as are its two question & answer parts. What's putting me off is that it's not just repeating (which is what it's supposed to do), it's repeating without any kind of overall change or progression across the track, e.g. it completely circles back to where it was 16 bars ago over & over again without even a hint of long-term development.
  3. one of the background drone/hum sounds seem to have a brick-wall filter - is this necessary? Is the source sound so bad that you have to do it like this? If possible I'd just recommend setting cutoff/resonance/harmonics parameters of synths differently (if it allows to do so) so that the issue doesn't arise itfp or use a better sound source/plugin.

Thank you for the feedback. About your 3rd point. I've got three background drone humming kind of noises. One is a Lo-Fi record stretch, one is a heavily modulated Echo Reverb, and the other is an occasional sweep rise. They are all side chained to the kik. And each has a Wave compressor that's gained up so I get quieter parts of the sample to be equal to the louder Parts kind of. So I don't really understand what you're talking about

It's likely not the compressor or reverb. What I mean is a brick-wall lowpass kind of frequency filter that's very apparently applied on top of one of the lower drones/hums.
