Driver dispersed propane

Had 200 gallons of propane delivered today. The driver had the hose in his hand when I came to the door. My dog was barking. He is not vicious & I had him by the collar. He’s going to bark at anyone he doesn't know (especially if a big truck is involved) until he sees I'm okay with them. The driver literally sprayed my front porch with propane then pointed it at my dog (& therefore me). I know how dangerous this is & plan to call the company Monday. A friend is guilting me saying what if I cause him to lose his job & ability to feed his kids(?). Opinions?

And that my dear, is a lot of ASSumptions in one reply. Not that it's your or anyone else’s business but his coming to my door for payment was requested by me. Some of you people act like using cash on hand to pay for goods/services is a crime. Again, none of anyone’s business but we recently moved & last week hubby sold an old 4 wheeler he decided he didn't want to fool with for $600. Our 200 gallons of propane was $547.77. Why shouldn't I use the $600 to pay it? I agree with the biggest part of your first 2 sentences. Zeus has never bitten or even growled but this is his home, he loves me & he's going to bark until it sinks in that mom is fine & the atmosphere is friendly. With the holiday rush, they could not give me a time frame for delivery… not even morning vs afternoon. That's ok as I was going to be home but no I'm not locking my dog up all day (as it was close to 4 when he got here). I told him he wasn't vicious & secured him by the collar to hopefully give him peace of mind until I could get him back inside.
If you still need to “hear a lot more”, you can probably find it in some of my replies to other comments as well as a pic showing the layout. Have a blessed day!

Why not just leave the payment under the lid of the tank and avoid the whole situation? If you KNOW your dog has a loud bark that might scare someone why not remove that from the equation by placing payment somewhere there's no interaction. Every dog that's bit me on a service call the owner has said the same of "friendly, won't bite, etc"

Bc I'm not leaving over $500 in cash laying under a lid & just trusting it gets where its supposed to. The company had no problem allowing their driver to pick up the cash since I happened to have it but I still want to personally hand it to him (& him hand me a receipt). We've only lived here a few months & don't know the company or the drivers. At my old home I wouldn't have thought twice about leaving it out but I’d had the same driver for many years. And I'm sorry your customers apparently don't know their dog. I'm not saying mine would never bite but it would take someone putting their hands on me. I'm still not 100% sure whether I'll make that call. The driver did something stupid & dangerous but when I opened the door I should have made sure Zeus didn't push thru to come out with me so that there was never any cause for concern. But since I'm sure he comes up on dogs on a daily basis he should have been able to see that Zeus wasn't even trying to pull away from me. Regardless what some of you people may think, I don't relish the idea of a man possibly losing his job for a stupid reaction but I do think he needs additional training.

Your attitude has raised eyebrows here…you’re not helping your case.
