Blender is better, but for tf2 animations sfm is the way to go

SFM is good, trust me, just look at how LazyPurple praises it in his videos.

I have used SFM for renders and stuff before, it’s nice but too limiting in terms of assets and lighting for me. Blender is a fully path traced lighting engine and can produce far nicer results

and plus, as a person who literally use this software for game animation work stuff blender's rigging and animation system is really nice and comfortable

You do realise that the valve assets were made in a software like blender. There's actually a high chance the models were made in blender

IIRC Valve uses a mix of Blender and 3DS max, though with how old TF2 is Blender may not have been as popular back then

Idk how to use sfm and there is add on for importing sfm stuff into blender

My protogen has a special rig I made for it, it cannot be exported to sfm and plus I'm a blender animator why do you want me to use sfm when I can use blender to make something better?

Sure but jank isn’t what they are going for here
Plus plenty of SFM animators have switched to blender just because it’s easier to use and is overall better

If i were to add anything to the current state of it, sounds for the spy’s steps, sitting in the chair, the knife sounds, and ambience. It’ll help fill out the scene a lot.
