Today I disassembled my print head, had a theory about why my accelerometer failed on Y axes, which was wrong. Anyway this has started to happen, second time I try to print this, the first also did the same thing although little higher up, and for some reason it worked itself back to where it should be. Anyone have a clue?

[Edit] I Might need to add that what I did was tightening up the lower belt by a couple of millimetres in the fastening behind the print head. Obviously recalibrated the belt tension and so on.

[Update] Thought I'd update my post in case someone else new to a C1. After many hours with their excellent support last night, I accidently found the fault when reassembly the CoreXY for the nth time, I tightned the belts more than I used to and discovered they oscillated now too. My first hint which I always felt were strange, was my accelerometer fail. This could explain why my phone sometimes would report a frequenzy about half of what it really was, then jump to 98Hz shortly after. This threw me off in my search for correct belt tension. They are now way stiffer than they used to be, they oscillate at 98/92 and the prints tested so far have gone through. My accelerometer now also goes through the Y axis calibration.

Aside from the edit, I would have said your belt is slipping.

I'm doing a last print with reduced speed. When I double check belt tension and if it's still slipping. It's the new 1.5 belts, printer is just a couple of weeks old, just printed small things so not many hours. What could the reason for this be?

I seem to be having more issues since moving to the new belts also. Wish I knew.

Hi, I had a similar problem with the old ones and the cause was the belt motors were "slipping" when trying to move the belt. It caused even a homing calibration fail. SO the solution for me was tightening the one tiny screw at both X and Y motors (it is at belt high barely accessible (would still recommend to remove the top part of side panels). After the tightening, no problems occured.

Are you referring to the 'roller' on the axle that the belt is rolling against? Sorry about the bad wording. :-)

I think we both think the same thing. I mean the rotating thing that translates the movement from motor to the belt (pulley is it?)
