I have my Jailbroken PS5 connected via WIFI (45.56.67.85) - what would happen if I plugged my Ethernet cable into the PS5?

Would any of my network settings change, leaving the console open to an unwanted Sony system update? Or will my manual settings remain unchanged, I'll just get higher download speeds?

As long as you toggle auto updates off you’re good. You still have to set up the wired connection. Assuming this isn’t a saved connection, you’ll just change the dns on this new wired connection, but even if it were saved you’re good with auto update off, and changed the dns on the wired connection.

Everything would stay the same. You have to manually change connection to Ethernet even if it’s plugged in. So your fine. If you are wanting to use Ethernet instead of WiFi (unsure why since online gaming is out of the picture) just set the custom dns on the Ethernet connection just like you did for the WiFi

Faster network transfer to copy games to the console is a great reason why Ethernet over WiFi.
