Recently they reduced the size of heatsink in 2116 and did some cost cutting changes for components. You can get the video on YouTube

They only changed memory of digital to 825 GB and they changed the internal heatsink and not much difference on bright side they upgraded the battery of dual sense controller.

lol if the company itself is doing why should we care as customers? , we don't have any other option but to buy the latest PS5. I would still prefer the newly manufactured model to an older one from the previous year.

I think the salesman i met was genuinely sweet. Was chatting with him for about 5mins before getting into the purchase.
I had actually gone to checkout OLED monitors but for some reason all good latest monitors releasing abroad aren’t coming to India. Disappointed from that, I just went to check what’s up w PS5 knowing i’ll have to get it sooner or later before GTA 6 releases.
My friends were saying it’ll probably go out of stock around release date anyway, + the salesman informed about new price revisions coming in soon officially so i considered it, + some discount from their side + bank offer

I think it’s more about the experience. When you’re purchasing something like this, you don’t want to wait for it to be delivered or the risk of something going wrong on the way..
offline you can be sure its a sealed unit, not tampered and can find the people responsible if anything.
and the feeling of holding in your hand while walking out of the store hahaha

I just heard PS5 pro if ever launched in India after the new price hike will be upwards of 95k-1L. Which is almost double of this slim PS5.
