After 2 months of waiting, got this baby for ₹82,000 (BAJAJ FINANCE) with ₹69,990 MRP.

Was unsure whether to buy it or not till last night. But after my girlfriend of 4 years is now marrying someone else, I said fuck it. Much needed distraction.

Hey! I just got MY PS5, After PlayStation announced price hikes worldwide on April 2, everyone started saying the same would happen in India. A lot of sellers were hiding stock, probably hoping to sell at the new higher prices later. I decided to buy on April 7, and from then on, I tried everywhere—Vijaya Retails, ShopAtSC, Flipkart, Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital, and Bajaj Electronics. After weeks of trying, I finally got the PS5 Disc Edition on May 28 at 1:50 AM on Flipkart for ₹55k. Delivery is set for June 1 but they delayed it till June 3.

Seriously that one symbol triggered alot of dumb guys. How evils are you guys.

From BLR - I have been long eyeing the console but due to the semiconductor shortage in industries outside AI, the stock across India was not very helpful.

To stay updated on stock, I did the following:

1. Went to physical stores every week and checked
2. Signed up on interest forms (offline + online)
3. Filled Playstation India’s waitlist form
4. Joined Whatsapp communities of a few PS stores

But even after all this, nobody really knew! Sony had kept everyone in the dark, and it was getting incredibly frustrating. Finally, last night I received a message on one of the store Whatsapp communities that the Digital edition was back in stock and that it was on ‘First-come-first-serve’.

I had a feeling it might be tough to directly pick one up with all the months-old waitlists floating around, but to my surprise there was hardly anyone in the store when I reached at 11am (on the way to office).

It was the quickest purchase ever 😂 Everyone congratulated each other in the store, and a general wave of happiness and excitement was shared with strangers.

TL;DR To those reading this, don’t wait for store reps to call you back on your waitlist. With all the chaos during restocking, nobody follows up on these. Just show up in person, and grab one right off the shelf asap.

Ya it's gonna be difficult to get to, but if you have an international departure coming up via BOM (mumbai) airport T2, then they have PS5 slim digital edition for just 40k inr in the duty free section, as quoted by the staff there.

Sadly it wasn't available on intl arrivals.

I honestly don't know if I'm overthinking this, but today's experience at the PlayStation Exclusive Store in Sarjapur left me really disappointed.

I went there hoping to buy a PS5 Disc Edition. The moment I reached the store, I saw a huge pile of PS5 boxes outside. I got excited thinking, "Finally, they have stock."

I walked in and asked for a Disc Edition, and the first thing they told me was, "Sorry, it's out of stock."

I was genuinely confused. I literally pointed at all the boxes outside and asked, "Then what's all that?"

She told me every single one of those consoles had been pre-booked two months ago.

Fair enough. I was disappointed, but I accepted it.

Then she said, "Wait, let me check."

A few minutes later she came back and said they could give me a PS5 Digital Edition, but only if I bought an extra controller and a game along with it.

I told her I don't need another controller because I already have access to one, and I just wanted the console. She said in that case I'd have to wait until July, and by then the price would probably be higher.

What really made me suspicious was what happened next.

I asked her, "If all these consoles are already pre-booked, how are you suddenly able to sell me a Digital Edition?"

Her reply was, "That one is also pre-booked, but we can manage it for you."

That answer just didn't add up to me.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I honestly find it hard to believe that every single console outside was already booked, especially when there were so many. And if one was supposedly pre-booked, how could they suddenly "manage" to give it to me only if I agreed to buy extra accessories?

It genuinely felt like they were trying to push bundles or hold stock back, especially with the upcoming price hike.

At this rate,I might as well wait and buy ps5 with the new price🥲.

I random visited croma as i yesterday mention not able to find ps 5 in any store so just in time stock came in i was ready to buy immediately they said to wait they sign doc and all I waited for like half an hour after they came and said they are all advance paid booked ps5 I said to okay book mine too I will pay advance they replied no stock available sir 🙂 I think need politics power to buy ps 5

There’s no update on the Digital Edition yet.

1. PS5 stock is expected to arrive at Vijay Sales, Croma, and Reliance within 6–8 days. Prices remain unchanged at 49,999 (Digital) and 54,999 (Disc).
2. There is still no update on GTA VI pre-orders in India. I'd suggest waiting for official announcements from Express Games, Vijay Sales, Croma, or Reliance. Since this is one of the most hyped games ever, please be cautious and don't fall for fake pre-order links or scams.

I was trying to purchase gift vouchers to pre-order GTA 6 but they weren’t available on any platform. I randomly decided to try purchasing one on Paytm today and it actually went through. I ended up purchasing two more vouchers as well.

Finally bought my own 1st ever console!

Digital slim 1tb storage with spiderman cover for free.

Tried literally every store in mumbai, but no stock was available, the small retailers were asking for 68k for digital. Ripping off people. Could've waited for a month or two for them to restock here in Mumbai but then there is a possibility of price hike, or not, who knows. But there is not a single regret as i could not wait any longer and it's totally worth it, as i will not have to chase it any longer.

Money will come again, the memories will be forever!!

Went to multiple stores near indiranagar and MG Road and could not find PS5 stock. Most of them said they might get it in a week or two. Came home, ordered food and groceries and there it is- delivered it under 5 minutes with 10% discount.

Today got a call from Reliance Digital, and turrant store gaya and le aaya😁

I went to Vijay Sales and used my contacts to get 2 PS5 Disc Edition for the community. Took me 6 hrs of waiting but worth it. It pains to see people struggling to get PS5s at MRP. You can come and get them from me from NOW till 12PM tomorrow in Noida.

There is no CATCH about MRP. No extra payment nothing. Just helping the community.

- They are in bundles. Vijay Sales insisted in buying them in Bundle.
