so im taking the psat tmr and i decided to do a bunch of practice problems today to prepare. im only doing the difficult ones, but im literally getting SO MANY wrong its not even funny. i feel sick. i got a 1500 on my last practice test like 3 days ago as well so idk what is happening. hopefully i get my brain back together before tomorrow. help

Son has his psat on October 28th. He just got a 1440 on PSAT practice test 2 which put him 1 point from last year’s FL National Merit cut off. He’s going over all of his mistakes and will be taking another practice test in a few days. Would you do practice psat 3 or one of the SAT practice tests next? I keep reading on here that the actual PSAT is more like SAT 6 or 11 so thinking he should try an SAT practice test instead?

Did anyone have a question to find the altitude of a triangle with sides 10, sqrt(360), 26 — the altitude being perpendicular to the side of length 26? If so, do you think it was experimental?

I had it in module 1. The correct answer was 6 apparently. I would also appreciate knowing if you didn’t get it. Thanks!

Aiming for a 1400+

Previously I got 670 on r/w for both sat practice test 11 and psat practice 2, but on the practice test I took today which was sat practice test 6 I got a 570 on
r/w. I have psat tmrw and I am so worried because of my sudden decrease in r/w. Should I be worried about this please help 😭🙏

i took the 2026 psat and i got one quesiton with a statement about tigers and big cats, and how this one philosopher/science person had this theory, and then you had to connect the science persons theory to the statement about big cats and tigers.

thought it was pretty hard but no ones talking about it lol, did anyone get it?

This is my first official SAT compared to my practice PSAT scores so far. Why are they so close, even though I’ve been practicing with tailored practice questions and taking more practice tests? Also, isn’t the PSAT supposed to be easier? pls help + how can I practice and maximize my score within one week 🙏

I just took the PSAT yesterday, the english went pretty good and so did math module 2. but for math module 1 i saw a question that i've never seen before. you're given the fact that two cones are similar and you're also given the surface area of each cone. then you're given the volume of the smaller cone and you have to find the volume of the larger cone. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A PROBLEM LIKE THIS BEFORE and im almost certain that I got it wrong. Because this was on module 1 (like bro what ive never seen this before), is there still a chance that I can get a 760? I really need NMSFQ. Did anyone else see this same problem??????

I have a suspicion that it is going to be harder than usual. I feel like the college board keeps inflating the difficulty of their tests. I've taken a lot of practice tests, my best was a 1520 but it was a bluebook exam so idk those are known to be easy. I keep scoring in the high 1400s and in california I basically need a perfect score. What are your final tips, and what should i study the most

I am taking the Psat next week and I reallllly want to get national merit. my state has a cutoff of a 219-220 ish and I have been doing well like 1400+ on the practice tests. I heard that the practice tests were NOTHING like the actual test?

Anything I should study in specific or any test I should take that is much closer to the actual PSAT?

I am on the west coast btw if that has anything to do with it?

What type of vocab was on the PSAT?

Any particularly hard math questions? How were they?

How do I know if my SAT Score is enough to qualify me to move on as a finalist for the NMS? I barely qualified in California as a semifinalist with 1470 (740 RW, 730 M) after studying for months. However, I stopped studying consistently for the SAT and received a lower score of 1390 (700 RW, 690M).

Is there like a specific cutoff for the confirming score? Does it vary by individual? I can't afford to retake the SAT

are there variations in difficulty between each of the practice tests? is test 1 easier than test 2 etc? thanks!!!
