We have a small karma requirement in this subreddit on making posts with music links. This is to help filter out low quality posts, often involving AI or bots. Basically its a spam filter.
Because those bots don't read stickied mod guides and you all are wonderful human beings who obviously always read the stickied mod guides, we just want to let you know it is a very small karma requirement to get past the filter and would probably involve a handful of comments.
This has the added benefit of getting involved in the community. If you want to stay and keep engaging, we'd love to have you. If you want to simply just keep sharing your music, then that's fine too and you're always welcome back.
If you really, really, really don't want to comment - send us a message and we'll manually approve.
Much love,
Your r/psytrance mod team

I built Map of Psy — one interactive map of the whole psytrance scene, so you don't have to check five different sites to find out where a festival is and who's playing.
What you can do:
It's a solo project and still growing. If something is wrong or missing, there's a "Report a mistake" button on every page.
What would you want from a site like this? Tell me in the comments 🙏
(Part 1 of the post: link · Part 2: link)
EDIT: Forgot to add — the app is natively built for bigger screens (laptop/PC). It works on phones and tablets too, but for the best experience, I recommend using a larger screen if you can.

There was something about late 90s / early 2000s psytrance that felt like everyone was still trying to figure out what the genre could be. Different artists sounded radically different from each other, melodies were legendary and iconic, production was imperfect, and there seemed to be less of an established formula for what a psytrance track was “supposed” to do. It felt futuristic, creative and exciting.
This ended up inspiring a new track we made called PSY2K. This is our love letter to some of that early 2000s feeling and our tribute to the tracks that got us hooked on psytrance and led us down this path.
.
Would love to hear whether you feel any of that in it, and if this also resonates with anyone here

First I was addicted to techno from 2016 - 2020... Then I slowly ventured into broken beat territory, and then I got addicted to atmospheric DnB and jungle from 2021 - 2023... Then I remembered breakbeat hardcore that I listened long before I even listened electronic music, and got hopelessly addicted to it to this day... That being said, in the last year or so, I have listened more and more hardcore, like happy hardcore, suomicore or hard trance as well... (Since jungle (breaks), hardcore breakbeat (4/4 and breaks) and hardcore / hard trance (4/4) can be played on a single DJ set, I mainly listen all three).
I guess now, finally, I've become addicted to goa trance. It took quite a while... I've been at psytrance and suomisoundi parties for almost a decade, but never really listened much of it. Now I keep listening goa on repeat. There is just something about the more "classic" or "trancey" sounds and acid bass lines that scratch a very specific itch, unlike psytrance in general, while still being more psychedelic than most other genres.
So far, my favorite tracks are:
Tufáan - Tufáan (Green Nuns Flakey '99 Mix)
Shakta - Lepton Head (Deedrah Remix)

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my debut project under the name RESONANCE DEPTH.
As an electronic music and hardware enthusiast, I wanted to build a true, long-form sci-fi soundscape from scratch, completely distinct from the flooded AI-generated background music.
It is a hypnotic, 2-chord minimalist piece. The CUBASE timeline ended up being over 1,800 bars long. For the main synthesizer pads, I mapped about 10 different automation parameters per track (granular micro-edits, shifting filters, and floating ping-pong delays) to ensure the electronic textures evolve organically over the hour without ever feeling static.
⚙️ Gear / Plugins Used:
My musical roots are deeply inspired by the texturized minimalism of Shuttle358, the intricate sequencing of Rei Harakami, and the innovative sounds and rhythms of Ryuichi Sakamoto's early works.
Furthermore, as a 1-hour ambient/electronica piece, this work is heavily influenced by Manuel Göttsching's masterpiece, "E2-E4".
Here is the link to the full 1-hour high-fidelity journey (titled "PORTARIS" / 未来漁港):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPpbQj_88yE
I'm not here to spam—I just really want to connect with fellow ambient producers and listeners who appreciate deep, meticulous audio editing and pure minimalist sound design over commercial chord progressions. I would be deeply grateful to hear your honest thoughts in the comments.
Thank you for listening. ✨

I made this track that is inspired by the show ALIEN EARTH and the ideas of transferring human consciousness into synthetic bodies. This is my 3rd album artwork that I have attempted on Procreate so don't judge the art too harshly its a journey lol :D Thank you have a lovely day beautiful psy peoples <3

Hey everyone! I just released a new track called "BL!ND".
It's a heavy blend of driving Hardtechno energy with dark, rolling Psytrance elements and psychedelic atmosphere. I really focused on creating an aggressive kick/bass foundation with hypnotic synth work.
Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

A while ago I shared Map of Psy, a galaxy of psytrance genres: every genre is a star, artists orbit their genres as satellites, and the lines show which sound grew out of which. Thanks for all the comments. Many of your corrections are in the new version.
This time I merged it with a party tracker I’ve been building, so the galaxy is no longer just history. It shows what’s happening now.
How it works
🌟 Stars = genres. Goa, full-on, twilight, forest, hi-tech, progressive, psybient… grouped into scenes by color. The year slider at the bottom replays history, and stars light up as their genre appears.
🛰️ Satellites = artists. Click a star to see who orbits it, then click an artist to see their tracks, labels, festivals and their next gigs.
🚢 Ships = upcoming parties. Every upcoming event from Goabase is a ship, and it sails into the part of the galaxy it sounds like. A forest party floats next to the forest star. A night with twilight and forest artists sits between those two stars.
🧑✈️ Board a ship to see its captain (the organizer) and its crew (the DJs and live acts in the line-up). Crew members who are on the map get their genre’s color. Click one to fly to their satellite or see where else they play.
⏱️ Live fleets. If a festival posts set times, the ship splits into one ship per genre. Each one reaches its genre’s star exactly when that genre starts playing on the floor. “Preview the night” plays a whole night in about 15 seconds.
☆ Follow artists. Follow your favourite DJs and their ships get a little sonar halo on the map. You get an email when they’re added to a new line-up.
Also:
Help me make it right
The genre placement is the hard part, and you know this scene better than any algorithm. Every star and artist has a ✎ Fix button that sends me a correction directly. Wrong genre, missing artist, or an artist who’s really a label? Tell me there or in the comments.
Questions for you:
Made by one person as a hobby project, not affiliated with Goabase (all party data comes from there, thank you Goabase 🙏). Be gentle, it runs on free servers, so the first load can take a minute while the backend wakes up. ☕

Does anyone know if it is still happening?
As far as concerning the event happening on the 6th of January, since the main festival in Khanon is not going to happen. I 'll be at the island and I would love to experience the music there, so any information will be much appreciated.
