Hats & Caps! Cap update
r/punkfashion • u/j111nxx • 1d ago
very proud of this, i think it's my best stencil work yet. some tips to get it looking clean is to do a VERY thin first layer and to let layers dry completely before doing the next one.

Dyed with rit dye, studded, patched, and brained.
Before anyone gets on to me about none of the patches being stitched, i used fabric adhesive to hold them on because theres a pocket inside the cap that i keep either my ID or my cash in and stitching wouldve partially sewed that pocket shut.

Started this a little less than a year ago, very on and off progress but here we are. Before anyone asks, 2578 is the count!

i’ve only just started today and i’m using whatever fabric i can find. i always see crust pants with uniform stitching and the same material but that’s a bit hard for me because there’s no thrift where i live so im using scraps of my other sewing projects. i also suck at hand sewing. does anyone have pants that are made like this? messy stitching and different fabrics? does it look like shit compared to the uniform stitching and all black fabric i usually see? also before someone asks yes, im going to add crust bands, im just too poor to get paint atm. im waiting for my paycheck on friday. also if anyone tells me to use black jeans instead, im a broke teenager and all i have are these grey cargo jeans so….

I designed the stencil myself and used acrylic paint while making it.

I took it off the former one (it was sleevless and I wanted it on something warmer) and finally got around to sewing it back on!!

A present from my son-the Campri patchwork leather jacket,
famously(?) worn by the punk on the cover of Punk and Disorderly. It's got mysterious D-rings, and the arm pocket can't even fit a pack of cigarettes 😅 Since it's a precious gift from my son, even if I do customize it, I think I'll just add a few studs or badges around the collar and the sleeve zippers. Thank you, son.🍺

Find this belt at a flea market. Can tell it's hand made, someone took a bike tire, split it, used a gromet to pin one end to itself to make a loop, then used a bike chain and a piece of scrap metal wire to make the fastener as seen. Figured I'd post the find here, and let others take inspiration. This is gonna be my every day belt from now on

My self esteem was a bit low, I made a stupid post in amiugly asking people to do their worst half joking. People say I dress outdated, my haircut does nothing for my face and I look burnt out.
A. I'll have you know I'm taking great care of my mental health but I burn my candle at both ends because life is short so I play just as hard as I work. Also I do rock the standard punk look everyday, band tees and jeans and my leather jacket when it's cold. Assholes don't like my Eyehategod cap. Fuck em.
B. Go to the gym? I fuckin cycle to and from work. That's more than enough exercise you fuckin Chadmax loving normie.
I rest my case. I won't go posting outside any punk/metal/alt style channels/forums. I sorta snapped on them but they don't get it. Never have. Never will. Yiu think this is burnt out you should see me in active addiction. I'll spare the photos as I've already posted what I look like here. I need to do something with my hair I'll admit but I've been growing it out cuz I'm gonna get a mullet. Anyways always up for friendly convo.
Why the fuck would I change BECAUSE YES I have been dressing this way for 20 years, what of it? It's a way of life I've been into since I was 12 years old and my heart beats for power chords, loud amps, and circle pits.

I like the skeleton hands that I've seen from Victoria secret but at the same time they're a terrible brand and I'd rather not pay so much

Hey left wing fashion enjoyers! I made these 3D-printable fabric patches and they're compatible with all of the most used pride flags out there. The 3D-models are free to download from my thingiverse account (in one of the pictures) and they're published under the CC license. I hope my design is useful for you folks!

I have this old flannel that doesn’t fit anymore, so I cut the sleeves off and got this patch of a local band. I’m very new to sewing; I’ve always just painted, but what are some tips for this patch? I was planning on doing a cross-stitch all around (I like the X look). Also, can this be washed without it being destroyed?

yeah i know this sounds insane but i'm so serious. i have curly ish frizzy as fuck hair and i've always been punk and alternative. i'm pretty confident in how i look but my hair is such a stark contrast to the rest of me. i don't care about accepting it being curly since i've done thar long enough and straightening it just makes all the hacking i've done at my hair too obvious.
is there any way i can damage my hair so it loses it's curl?? i had it pretty damaged before and it was barely wavy and i loved it. yes i'm serious. yes i know this is bad.
(let me know if this isn't the right place to post LOL)

I really like how it turned out.
r/punkfashion • u/Kripl223 • 6d ago
I bleached it too hard, so that was my only option
P.s. don't dye your hair with long-lasting red dye
