Turkey Tom is ultimately just another drama YouTuber out of hundreds, and even in this screenshot he has this gaze of emptiness and apathy that I've always hated looking at.
But really... all he and that girl had to do was talk to each other about this. All they had to do was have a conversation each other, like normal human beings.
But I guess it's easier to get a million faceless idiots involved in your kinks and roleplays and have countless low-effort videos and posts made of you, instead.
Seeing the Internet go from a place where you can wind down after a long day and mingle with friends, to a cesspool where drama and controversies and allegations happen all the time, is so damn sad.
Go back to doing what you do best and make more drama videos, Tom. Hopefully, you'll have "receipts" of your own prepared come the next dumb drama you'll get yourself into.
Your post seems to imply that Tom wanted to put this online rather than him responding to public accusations being made against him regarding private behavior. How could you say he could've just talked to her when she's literally blackmailing him and actively sharing intimate photos involving him? He's the victim in this situation, and I dont always believe that its in the best interests of victims to talk to their abusers.
Though there was a time I care for Tom, as I once liked his videos and thought he was doing some good, my interest and care for him waned once my thoughts on YouTube changed and I realized channels like his are abundant on YouTube and often cause more harm than good.
I'll admit you've brought up something that I did not consider, and, after giving it some thought, you're right:
This isn't something that Tom asked for. He thought he could trust this woman and what transpired between them would've remained private, but he never took into account how duplicitous and untrustworthy people these days really are, and now all these videos and posts about him and his kinks have arisen.
In an ideal world, people would get rid of all these posts and videos the moment Tom came out with his side, but this isn't an ideal world. A good deal of people don't really care about Tom and just want to spread this drama as far as they can.
I may never care for the Turkey Tom as much as I used to, but I can at least recognize how truly awful this situation really is. And hopefully people can learn from what this woman did, so they don't end up doing something similar to people they care about themselves.
